We have come together in the presence of God to witness and bless the joining of Jessie Claire Donlon and William Rice Calloway. The covenant of marriage was established by God in creation. It signifies to us the mystery of the union between Christ and his Church, and is to be honored among all people.

The union of husband and wife in heart, body, and mind is intended by God for their mutual joy; for help and comfort given one another in prosperity and adversity. Marriage is not to be entered into lightly, but reverently, deliberately, and in accordance with the purposes for which it was instituted by God.

Who presents Jessie to be married to Will? —Her mother and I do so. OR We do.

Welcome everyone! On behalf of Peter and Kim Donlon and Kay & Chris Calloway, and Jessie & Will, we’d like to welcome our Families and Honored Guests!

We know we are all excited to be here in the beautiful setting on this wonderful day. Thanks to everyone who made the trip, and we’d also like to acknowledge loved ones who are no longer with us or were unable to make the trip to participate in this wedding ceremony. We will keep everyone special to us in our hearts throughout this weekend.

As we start the services please let us Pray:

Accept, O Lord, our thanks and praise for all that you have done for us. We thank you for the blessings of friends and family, and for the loving care which surrounds all of us. We are grateful for this beautiful space and specific time to joyfully celebrate the love and union of Jessie & Will. Let your love guide them through this journey and may their covenant be a reflection of your love for us. Amen.

Wedding Message

Declaration of Intent: Jessie & Will- please face each other and join hands.

Jessie & Will- you have come together so that the Lord may seal and strengthen your love in the presence of this community of family and friends.

Have you both come here freely and without reservation to give yourselves to each other in marriage? If so answer by saying “I HAVE”. Say- I Have together.

And are you prepared, as you follow the path of marriage, to love and honor each other for as long as you both shall live? If so, answer by saying “I AM”. Say- I AM together.

Will and Jessie have written their own vows.

Jessie: please recite your vows to Will.

Will and Jessie will now exchange rings as a symbol of their love and commitment.

Lord please bless these rings as a sign of love and faithfulness, and bless this couple as they live their lives honoring one another in the love and grace that you provide to each of us.
