Officiated by Shawn Michael Anthony at Bride and groom’s home in Omaha, Nebraska on December 5th, 2023. Witnessed by Pamela S. Glissman and Rosemarie Forrest.
"The ceremony turned out great! This was my first wedding officiating, so I was very nervous. The bride has been a longtime friend, so it made it extra special that I was chosen to be a part of their big day. It was a very small , family only ceremony, and it was in the living room of their home. I loved how the couple chose to write their own vows, It added something extra to an already special day. I also love how the couple included a moment of silence for their daughter they lost just months before. It’s an experience I’ll never forget."

Zach and Chaley Ordainment
December 5, 2023
Dearly beloved and honored guests, we are gathered here on this beautiful day to witness the union of Zach and Chaley in holy matrimony. This is a day of great celebration, for a married life – a shared life – is a great blessing.
“Zach and Chaley have asked before we witness them take each other’s hand in marriage that we bow our heads to honor those loved ones who are not with us today. Please bow your head for a moment of silence.”
As Zach and Chaley embark on this journey together, they will be able to nurture a love that makes them better versions of themselves. Marriage is a garden we sow with love, and harvest in personal growth.
Zach and Chaley, on your journey together, keep your spouse in the space of the highest priority in your heart. The love that you share must be guarded and cherished forever, for it is your most valuable treasure.
Always remember these words; Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never losses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
Zach and Chaley, today you have chosen to write your own vows, and it is with these words you express your binding promises to love, honor, and cherish one another. If you are ready to make these promises to each other, I invite you now to face each other and declare your intentions.
When you’re ready you may begin.
“BRIDE AND GROOM EXCHANGE VOWS”
Thank you both for sharing your written vows with all of us. The rings you are about to place on each other’s fingers are symbols of the love you expressed. They will remind you of the vows you have just spoken, and of the eternal love that you have for one another.
Before you place your rings, please repeat after me.
Do you Zach take this woman Chaley to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and woe, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto her for as long as you both shall live?
“I DO”
Do you Chaley take this man Zach to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and in woe, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto him for as long as you both shall live?
“I DO”
As a symbol of their love and commitment Zach and Chaley will now exchange rings
Zach, place the ring on Chaley’s finger and repeat after me.
As this ring encircles your finger…From this moment forward… So will my love forever encircle you…You will never walk alone…My heart will be your shelter…My arms will be your home…We will walk thru life as partners and best friends…I promise to do my best to love, cherish and accept you…Just the way you are…I give you my heart until the end of time…I have no greater gift to give.
Chaley, place the ring on Zach’s finger and repeat after me.
By the authority vested in me by American Marriage Ministries and the State of Nebraska, I now pronounce you husband and wife.
Zach, you may kiss your bride.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is my honor to present for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest.
