Family and friends gather here today to celebrate a remarkable milestone in the lives of Alan and Angela. For fifty years, they have walked hand in hand, weathering life's storms and cherishing its brightest moments. Today, we renew the vows that have stood the test of time, and we also celebrate the love that continues to flourish between them. I'm stoked to be talking about commitment and marriage in the context of a lifelong partnership today. Usually, I talk to couples about how serious marriage is and the level of commitment it takes. Today, I get to experience the emotions and sense of fulfillment that stem from a long-lasting, committed relationship. You definitely have set the bar!

Alan and Angela, your journey together began with a chance meeting on a blind date. Little did you know that this encounter would lead to a love story that spans half a century. Angela saw in Alan, “her hunk,” who stole her heart with his kindness and good looks. Alan, you found in Angela your “Italian girl” with those big brown "meatball" eyes who would become your lifelong companion.

Your love story continued to grow, and the hard work and dedication you both showed in your life and careers reflect not only on your family but also in your nephew, Frankie. Who followed in Alan's footsteps and has become very successful. Alan and Angela, you have built not only a home but a foundation of love and support for your family.

Your home is where countless BBQs and pool parties have taken place, and it is a testament to the warm and hospitable nature that defines you as a couple. Angela's old-fashioned Italian cooking, a labor of love, has filled stomachs and hearts over the years. Sports have been more than just a pastime shared by your family; it's been a way to bond, cheer, and celebrate victories, both on and off the field. A yearly trip to Disney has become a beloved tradition, creating memories that will last a lifetime. From Aruba with Alan to Napa Valley with the girls to Sanibel Island with the granddaughters, your family is always the guiding light in your lives. And Angela, I hope you make it to Italy one day.

As we celebrate this milestone, I ask you, Alan, do you continue to take Angela as your wife, to cherish her, support her, and continue to stand by her side?
