[INVOCATION - OFFICIANT TO RECEPTION]
Welcome and thank you, family and friends, for being here today, to witness this public celebration of two beautiful people’s love for each other.
I asked the couple what they wanted me to include in this ceremony, and they told me to keep things light and funny... but most importantly, to keep it short. So I'll do my best to make sure we can all hit that open bar a little earlier today...
You’ve been asked here today because you are all an essential part of Tayler and Jeremy’s life. Maybe you are one of many childhood friends who played softball with Tayler, or even one of the bad influences who taught Jeremy how to shotgun a beer- don’t worry, we won’t name names, but we’re glad you’re here. Some of you may have met them more recently, on one of this incredible fun-loving couple's many adventures.
[OFFICIANT TO COUPLE]
You two have had a ton of fun together!
[OFFICIANT TO RECEPTION]
Regardless of how you first met them, Tayler and Jeremy are happy you made it here, to show your love and support for them on this special day… And of course to get free food and drinks!
As they start the next chapter of their relationship, they will experience plenty of ups and downs, but I know you'll agree with me when I say that they are truly the perfect pair.
They’re better together and bonded for life.
Tayler & Jeremy have chosen to symbolize their unity through a branding ceremony.
[UNITY CEREMONY - Jeremy & Tayler move to branding station]
[OFFICIANT TO RECEPTION - While the Unity ceremony is taking place]
Branding is a tradition that signifies identity and a sense of belonging. A brand represents the history, family and love that started it all. Today, gathered with their family and friends, they will place their first brand together, as a sign of their lives intertwining, and their love - which burns like fire in their souls. They will display this branded piece in their home as a daily reminder of their devotion and commitment to each other. Let it serve as a compass to help them find their way back to one another if ever lost in the turbulent storms of life. As this brand once forged, cannot be undone, so shall their promise to each other withstand the test of time.
[UNITY CEREMONY COMPLETES]
These vows you will now make to each other are a binding contract, not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, with a profound realization of its obligations and responsibilities. These vows must be carried out with unconditional love, loyalty, and understanding. They lay the foundation for a happy and enduring home.
