Justin and Tracey
It is one of life’s richest surprises when the accidental meeting of two life paths leads them to proceed together along the common path as husband and wife. It is one of life’s finest experiences when a relationship grows into a permanent bond of love. This meeting and this growth bring us together today.
Declaration of Consent:
Please face each other and join hands. Justin and Tracey, will you take vows here before all of us which symbolize the manifested vows you have already made and will continue to make to each other throughout your lives?
We will.
Tracey and Justin, you are combining your strengths and hopes in this marriage. Your decision to marry will also shape and deeply affect the lives of Brett, Bryce, Justin, Kayla, Autumn and Eric. We would also like to take a moment to recognize Brandon, who is not here physically. While he may not be with us physically, Tracey and Justin feel his love and support. Today we acknowledge and celebrate not only the creation of a marriage, but also the creation of a family. Each of you will contribute your individual blossoms to this new entity, combining your special selves into a rich and beautiful bouquet to symbolize the new family.
Vows:
Justin, please repeat after me: I Justin, take you Tracey, as my Wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or poorer. I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honor you all the days of my life, until death do us part. This is my solemn vow.
Tracey, please repeat after me: I Tracey, take you Justin, as my Husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or poorer. I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honor you all the days of my life, until death do us part. This is my solemn vow.
Declaration of Intent:
Justin, do you take Tracey to be your lawfully wedded Wife? Do you promise to honor her in love, to be sensitive to her needs, to comfort her in difficulty, and to put your full and complete trust in her, so long as you both shall live?
Justin: I do.
Tracey, to you take Justin to be your lawfully wedded Husband.? Do you promise to honor him in love, to be sensitive to his needs, to comfort him in difficulty, and to put your full and complete trust in him, so long as you both shall live?
Tracey: I do.
Ring exchange:
The circle is the symbol of the sun, earth, and universe. It is the symbol of peace. Let this ring be the symbol of unity and peace in which your two lives are joined in one unbroken circle. Wherever you go, return unto one another and to your togetherness.
Justin, as you place the ring on Tracey’s finger, please repeat after me:
I give you this ring to wear upon your hand as a symbol of our unity in steadfast love.
Tracey, as you place the ring on Justin’s finger, please repeat after me:
I give you this ring to wear upon your hand as a symbol of our unity in steadfast love.
You are two people who have established individual patterns of living. Yet you have found not only a need for companionship, but the satisfaction of that need in each other’s company. It is this love, based upon a responsible understanding, that will aid you in creating out of your two lives, a marriage, and a happiness you will share together. Stand fast in hope and confidence, believing in yourself and believing in each other.
Pronouncement:
In as much as you two have come before your friends and family and have declared your love and devotion to each other, by the power vested in me by the state of Hawaii, I now pronounce you Justin and Tracey DeRonde.
Kiss: You may now share your first married kiss.
