"This wedding was special because I got to marry my little sister. We are super close in age and close in general so it was emotional but rewarding to marry her to someone who loves her the way she deserves to be loved! It was my first ceremony ever, I’m not the best public speaker, but it went off without a hitch! I was able to put my own spin on the ceremony to make it more memorable for the couple. I love my sister to death and am so happy she’s married to her best friend "

I’d like to first start off by saying that on behalf of John and Bridget, I wanted to extend a thank you to everyone who is here. You are all here because you hold a special place in John and Bridget’s life, so thank you for supporting them on this road to marriage.
I feel absolutely honored that you both have chosen me to marry you guys. Marrying your little sister is quite unconventional but Bridget and I have an unconventional relationship with how close in age we are to each other and how everyone always referred to us as “the girls”. It has always been you and me going through life together so seeing you fall in love with John and begin your life with him has been so beautiful and a joy to watch. John has not only been a huge rock for you, he’s loved you in every way someone can. So on behalf of the Downey siblings, I thank you John for taking care of her and loving her the way she deserves be loved.
*pause for tears*
Now onto what we’re really here for!
John and Bridget, we are here today to celebrate the joining of the two of you in marriage! Marriage isn’t something to take lightly and today you both will be vowing to each other that you will stick with it through it all. There will be hard times and they will absolutely suck, but today you are making the commitment to work through the sucky times and face those times together as one.
Now, please face each other and join hands. This is the time where John and Bridget will declare their intentions for this marriage.
