"It was exciting and a pleasure to officiant a wedding for two people who have been together for 50 years or more. They have been through so much together in their relationship that they finally decided to make that special step as becoming husband and wife. They were warm and friendly like I had always known them like family. The couple depended on me to take charge of the complete ceremony, talking with her daughter the DJ and getting the music together that they had requested at certain times. Also letting the photographer know the couples wishes. So I guess you can say I was acting as the planner on the day of the wedding. Marie-Antoinette and Lorenzo are two lovely people, which shows no matter how long you've been together you can still take that step to matrimony and say I DO, as husband and wife."

MARRIAGE PRAYER
OFFICIANT TO THE COUPLE AND THE RECEPTION
Let us bow our heads and pray a blessing on this marriage:
Bless this day, O’ Lord, and bless this union. Help them to remember to grow into a strong love every day. Put your hedge of protection around them, and let nothing divide them.
Give them words both kind and loving to each other every day. Grant them the sacred bond of kindness, truthfulness, and faithfulness in their home. Make their hearts always ready to ask for forgiveness as well as to forgive. May they continue to bring out the best in each other and remember to keep you in their hearts.
We put this marriage into your hands, and ask for your blessing as they start this new life together. May the peace of Christ rule in their hearts, and the joy of the Lord be their strength on this journey together. In your name we pray, Amen.
