Officiant: Everyone please sit. First, I’d like to begin by welcoming everyone and thanking every one of you for being here on this happiest of days. It’s no accident that each of you is here today, and each of you was invited to be here because you represent someone important in the individual and collective lives of NAME and Nicholas. We are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the marriage of Nicholas Adam lee and Rachael Elizabeth smith. This is not the beginning of a new relationship but an acknowledgment of the next chapter in their lives together. They have spent time getting to know each other, and we now bear witness to what their relationship has become. Today, they will affirm this bond formally and publicly.
I’ll start with some words of wisdom Words of wisdom
A good marriage must be created. In marriage, the “little” things are the big things. It is never being too old to hold hands. It is remembering to say, “I love you” at least once a day. It is never going to sleep angry. It is standing together and facing the world. It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways. It is having the capacity to forgive and forget. It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow. It is a common search for the good and the beautiful. It is not only marrying the right person — it is being the right partner
Together rachel and Nicholas will mark their transition as a couple not only by celebrating the love between themselves, but by also celebrating the love between all of us—including the love of their parents, siblings, extended family, and best friends. Without that love, today would be far less joyous.
May we please have the rings:
A ring is an unbroken circle, with ends that have been joined together, and it represents your union. It is a symbol of infinity, and of your infinite love. When you look at these rings on your hands, be reminded of this moment, your commitment, and the love you now feel for each other.
Will you please hold hands:
Nicholas will you place the ring on Rachels finger and repeat after me:
Rachel, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love with the pledge: to love you today, tomorrow, always, and forever.
And now...Rachel please place the ring on Nicholas s finger and repeat after me:
Nicholas, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love with the pledge: to love you today, tomorrow, always, and forever.
Closing comments
To make your relationship work will take love. This is the core of your marriage and why you are here today. It will take trust, to know, that in your hearts, you truly want what is best for each other. It will take dedication, to stay open to one another – and to learn and grow together. It will take faith, to go forward together, without knowing exactly what the future brings. And it will take commitment, to hold true to the journey you both have pledged to today. By the power vested in me, by American marriage ministers, I now pronounce you husband and wife.
You may kiss the bride. I would like to introduce the happy couple Rachel and Nicholas lee.
