Family, Friends…Plus One’s…

…We are gathered together, today under the all seeing eye of nature here to join Krissy Lynn McCracken and Carl Stephen Fleming in the spiritual union of marriage.

I have had the honor and the privilege of knowing Krissy for some time now. And, I cannot even begin to describe the amount of love she has in her heart. Full of kindness and energy. Full of beauty and creativity. I, unfortunately, have not had the privilege of knowing Carl as long. But, I truly believe that these two were made for each other. Just by the smile and the shimmer in Krissy’s eyes at the very mention of Carl. There is no greater love and passion in the world than these two share with each other.

Life is full of wonderful things along with twists, turns, dark tunnels, even challenges. And, in the end, when one door finally closes, another opens. But, the wonderful thing about marriage, you get a partner. Someone that will be there by your side through every twist, through every turn, to be your eyes in that dark tunnel, and to cheer you on through every challenge. And now, both Krissy and Carl are both closing a door by themselves. And walking, hand in hand together to open the next door as one.

As a testament to their love, Krissi and Carl have both written their own vows to share with each other.

I now request the rings be brought forth so that they may exchange them. Much like your love has no true beginning or end, so do these rings act as a perfect symbol of the bond you forge today. Please present the rings to each other. I ask Carl to place the ring on Krissy’s finger and repeat after me. “With this ring, I make an eternal promise to love you and cherish you forever.”

I now ask the same of you, Krissy. Please place the ring on the finger of Carl and repeat the same words. “With this ring, I make an eternal promise to love you and cherish you forever.”
