Dearly Beloved Couple, Family and Friends,
We are gathered here today to join Mary Barker and Ron Brown in the spiritual union of marriage. Exactly 4 years ago their families helped bring them together during challenging times in both of their lives. Their families are the foundations that have helped these two stay focused on each other and become the couple that we see today.
Who gives this bride to marriage today?
Mary and Ron please face each and hold hands.
And so, Mary and Ron, it begins, a life of giving and sharing, nurturing and support; allowing each other the freedom to change and grow as individuals while developing your mutual love for each other each and every day.
In the art of marriage, the little things are the big things. It is about establishing a relationship in which your independence is equal, dependence is mutual, and obligation is reciprocal.
Today your family and friends are here to celebrate your union. We are privileged to witness two very dear friends, two exceptional individuals, committing to share a lifetime together.
Their first meeting was at The Salty Dog in Deer Park and that has become their goto place for food and drinks and meeting friends. Speaking of drinks if you know Mary, she helps Coors Light stay in business and Ron of course helps keep Miller Light in business. Another event that has really brought Mary and Ron together is shooting guns. One look at their rings will tell you that shooting together has helped bring their relationship to a whole new level. Ron has taught Mary how to shoot guns, care for them and even hunt! Yes Mary has even bagged a deer. They both want to share this special day today with all of you because so many of you have walked with them through the trials and tribulations of the past several years and you all mean so much to both of them. Today we will witness how these two special people are meant for each other, now and for the rest of their lives.
This marriage covenant is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring marriage and home.
Grace Trudnowski will now read First Corinthians Chap. 13 verses 1-13. This is called the Love Chapter.
Mary Barker and Ron Brown will now share their vows.
*(Vows)*
Mary and Ron Please hold hands:
You are about to make your promises to one another. You will find that as you live by these vows over the years, investing your time, love, and commitment to one another, the happy times of your life will be twice as joyous, because you’ll share these joys together in marriage.
Mary, will you take Ron, whose hand you hold, choosing him alone to be your lawfully wedded husband? Will you live with him in the true state of matrimony? Will you love him and comfort him through good times and bad, in sickness and in health, honoring him at all times, and being faithful to him?
*(Wait for Confirmation)*
