TO THE AUDIENCE:
Daniel and Gabrella chose this day, October 28th to pledge their love to one another, and to start their lives together, and to share in the blessings of the Hunter’s Moon.
This particular full moon is also a blood moon, and there will be a lunar eclipse. This is truly a blessed day.
Hibernating animals will hunt and prepare as soon as there is a chill in the air. They instinctively know that they need to build themselves up with layers of extra padding so they can maintain their body temperature and be able to survive their long deep winter sleep.
The Full Hunter Moon reminds us that now is the time for us as humans to prepare our lives for hardships to come, for blessings of warmth, food, family, bountiful harvests, and peaceful sleep,
As humans, we need to hunt for what we need to prepare our den, our lives, and our family so that we will remain well-fed, well-loved, comfortable, healthy, and happily engaged in body, mind, spirit, and soul.
We must take this time to be thankful and to know that we are blessed.

I Would Like To Start This Ceremony With The Following Cherokee Prayer:
Creator, please protect the ones we love.
We honor and give thanks to you for all that you have created as these two people pledge their hearts and lives to one another, as their family and friends bear witness to this joyous event.
We honor mother-earth - and ask for their marriage to
be abundant and grow stronger through the seasons;
We honor fire - and ask that their union
be warm and glowing with love in their hearts;
We honor wind - and ask that they sail through life
safe and calm as in the Creator’s arms.
We honor water - to clean and soothe their relationship -
that it may never thirst for love.
With all the forces of the universe that you have created,
we pray for harmony and true happiness as these two who are joined in marriage and eternal love, forever grow young together within the warmth of the Creator’s love.

Daniel, Gabriella;
I’ve asked various people throughout the years, and who have been married for a long time, what advice would you give to two people getting married today?
Here is some of their advice:
1. Communication!
a. “It’s not always a walk in the park”, but effective communication and listening to how someone FEELS is important.
2. Don’t take the little things for granted.
a. Each of you has those little things that you do, that the other doesn’t have to think about.
b. LEARN what those little things are for each other, and don’t forget the value they have, even if these little things are unspoken.
3. Some people say a relationship is 50/50, but that’s not true.
a. Any relationship, even friendships, should be 100/100.
b. You’re 100% on any given day isn’t the same, but if you give all you can for a given day, what more can be asked?
4. Learn to navigate each other’s strengths and weaknesses.
a. When it’s time to step up because the other might not be able to do everything they usually do.
b. When one of you is soul tired,
c. be their strength,
d. be their light,
e. be their North Star to show them the way home.
f. Make sure they know they’re not alone.
g. Be their blanket and wrap them in the warmth of your love.
5. Learn each other’s love language,
a. That is, the way you show love to each other, and the way your partner feels your love.
b. You don’t have to say a word,
c. You don’t have to prove your love or justify your love,
d. You can look at each other and just know…..

I would like to share with you the following (Apache) Native American Wedding Blessing:
• Now you will feel no rain, for each of you will be the shelter for the other.
• Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be the warmth to the other.
• Now there will be no loneliness, for each of you will be the companion to the other.
• Now you are two people, but there is only one life before you.
• May beauty surround you both in the journey ahead and through all the days of your lives to come.
• May happiness be your companion and your days together be good and long upon the earth.
• Treat yourselves and each other with respect and remind yourselves often of what brought you together.
• Give the highest priority to the tenderness, gentleness and kindness that your connection deserves.
• When frustration, difficulties and fear challenge your relationship, as they threaten all relationships at one time or another, remember to focus on what is right between you, not only the part which seems wrong.
• In this way, you can ride out the storms when clouds hide the face of the sun in your lives, remembering that even if you lose sight of it for a moment, the sun is still there.
• And if each of you takes responsibility for the quality of your life together, it will be marked by trust, abundance, light, friendship, and love.
