OFFICIANT TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS:

Welcome, family and loved ones. We are gathered here today, surrounded by the beauty of creation to celebrate the joining of Stephen Matthew Faught and

Jennifer Suzanne Rincon in marriage.

Prayer:

Let us pray together. Lord, we invite you into this ceremony. We are grateful for this moment. Be with us as we celebrate this blessed union. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Today is a celebration of love, commitment, friendship, family, and of two people who are committing to each other forever.

All of us here today have our own love stories; some are short, others long, some are just getting to the good part. There are chapters in all our stories that may have sadness or disappointment, while others are exciting and full of adventure.

The Bible has a whole chapter devoted to the supremacy of love. Part of it is Corinthians 13:4-8

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails……

It is with this love you’ll commit to each other today. It’s the way God loves us.

To all the family and friends gathered today, remember to show LOVE. If Stephen or Jenny come to you for advice or to share a challenge with you remind them to lead with LOVE.

Trying to describe love is one of our favorite pastimes. We use words to write stories, poems, and songs about love. Even though we describe love in different ways and even though love can look different from one person to the next, we all know it when we see it. We see it here with Stephen and Jenny.

You fell in love. You both are choosing each other. You've chosen to be with someone who enhances you, makes you think, makes you smile, and makes every day brighter. You're about to make promises to each other that you intend to keep. You're going to vow to take care of each other, to stand up for one another, and find happiness in the other. You're each saying, 'Every experience I am going to have, I want you to be a part of it with me.’
