Pamela and John, when you first joined hands and hearts in marriage 20 years ago, you did not know where life would take you. You promised to love, honor and cherish one another through all things. Life has surely brought you both wonderful blessings and difficult challenges over the years. Now here you are today with God in witness of the life, family and home that you have built together; the experiences shared; and the triumphs over failures. As you reflect over all the years as husband and wife, do you now wish to reaffirm the vows you took 20 years ago today?

Pamela, will you continue to have John as your husband and continue to live with him in holy marriage according to the word of God?

Pamela: I will.

Do you reaffirm your love for him, and will you love, honor and cherish him; be faithful to him and honest? Will you respect, trust, help and care for him? Will share your life with him? Will you forgive him as we have been forgiven, and will you try with him to better understand yourselves, the world, and God; through the best and worst of what is to come, for as long as you live?

John, will you continue to have Pamela as your wife and continue to live with her in holy marriage according to the word of God?

John: I will.

Pamela and John, on your wedding day you exchanged rings as a symbol of the never-ending circle that symbolizes the eternal quality of God, unending strength, and unending love! May you always wear your rings as a reminder of your wedding vows to each other, and your commitment to continue to live in unity, love, and happiness.

May God continue to bless these rings and the two who exchanged them in love on their wedding day and keep you safe in the circle of his protection and love.

As Pamela and John renew their vows of marriage today, they also renew their commitment to be loving and caring parents to Evan, Jack and Dean, recognizing with gratefulness the happiness and fulfillment that Evan, Jack and Dean, have brought to their marriage and family life.
