-Lauren & Patric, please hold hands and face me.
-This day, May 13th will be a day you will always remember. And Patric, you should probably go ahead and set up a reminder on your phone, so you NEVER forget it.
-Marriage is going to expand you as individuals, define you as a couple, and deepen your love for one another.
-To be successful, you will need strength, courage, patience, trust and a really good sense of humor.
- Now, I’d like to share some thoughts:
Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens.
A great marriage must be created.
In marriage the “little” things are the big things.
It is remembering to say, ”I love you” often.
It is never going to bed angry.
It is understanding each others Love Language.
It is speaking words of appreciation, and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is having the capacity to forgive.
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each of you can grow.
It is not only marrying the right person — it is BEING the right partner.
Lastly, Marriage is about never wanting to hear, or to have to say the words - No, Patric, you can’t play golf.
-Now hold hands and turn towards each other.
