Dalton Young And Brooke Young’s Wedding Wedding Ceremony Script

(Intro)

Ladies and Gentlemen, Today we are gathered here to celebrate the unification of Dalton and Brooke

(ceremony begins)

“Please stand for the bride”

When bride and father get to the altar

“ Drew , Do you give your blessing for this couple to be married?”

Groom takes Bride’s hand

“Dear family and friends, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union

of [Dalton] and [Brooke]. In the years that they have been together, one another’s love has grown, turning them into the couple you see before you. Now, they are ready

to spend the rest of their lives together as husband and wife,

A true marriage begins well before the wedding day, and the efforts of marriage

continue well beyond the ceremony. A brief moment in time and the stroke of the pen

are all that is required to create the legal bond of marriage, but it takes a lifetime of love,

commitment, and compromise to make marriage durable and everlasting”

(step down and move room)

(Sermon)

Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens.

A good marriage must be created. In marriage the little things are the big things.

It is never being too old to hold hands.

It is remembering to say “I love you” at least once a day.

It is never going to sleep angry.

It is at no time taking the other for granted; the courtship should not end with the honeymoon, it should continue through the years.

It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives.

It is standing together facing the world. It is forming a circle of love that gathers the whole family.

It is not looking for perfection in each other.

It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.

It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow old.

It is a common search for the good and the beautiful.

It is establishing a relationship in which the independence is equal, dependence is mutual and the obligation is reciprocal.

It is not only marrying the right person; it is being the right partner.

(go back to alter)

“Today you declare your commitment to each other before family and friends."

"With this wisdom – and your love - in mind, I now ask you:"

"Dalton, do you welcome Brooke to be your wife and your cherished best friend?"

- I DO

"Brooke, do you welcome Dalton to be your husband and your cherished best friend?"

- I DO

(Vows Exchange)

“As you look lovingly at each other, you’ll speak the promises that you’re pledging for a lifetime."

“Both repeat after me -

Today, I give you my heart to hold and my life to keep

I take you as my partner in life and with this promise:

I will support you and encourage you, during the good times, and the trying times.

I will laugh with you, and cry with you,

And love you faithfully, for all the days and sea ahead of us both."

(ask for rings)

"The wedding ring serves as a reminder of the promises you make today to each other.

The circle is a symbol of an eternal bond -- there is no beginning and no end.

"(Dalton), place this ring on (Brooke)’s finger and repeat after me.

I give you this ring as a symbol of my commitment and devotion.

I choose you to share in my life’s journeys.

I give you this ring as a pledge to love you,

today, tomorrow, always, and forever.

With no take-backs. “

"(Brooke), place this ring on (Dalton)’s finger and repeat after me.

I give you this ring as a symbol of my commitment and devotion.

I choose you to share in my life’s journeys.

I give you this ring as a pledge to love you,

today, tomorrow, always, and forever.

With no take-backs. “

"Now that you have joined yourselves in matrimony, may you strive all your lives to meet this commitment with the same love and devotion that you now possess.

By virtue of the authority vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride”

(step down from picture)

“Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my honor to announce, Mr. and Mrs. Young!”
