INVOCATION

Hello everyone, welcome! On behalf of Tori and Jared; thank you all for being here today and serving as witness to this special moment in their lives. Jared and Tori have chosen each and every one of us to be here with them as they join together as husband and as wife.

I asked the couple what they wanted me to include in this ceremony, and I was given a resounding answer to keep things light, and funny, but most importantly, to keep it short. I know I’m not the only one wondering how lonely that open-bar must be feeling right now. Unfortunately for the lovely couple, and for the rest of us; I am famously known for taking my time with absolutely everything and today will be no different. I can’t tell if some of you in the back just gave me a thumbs up or flipped me off.

We have been asked here today because we all play an important part of Tori and Jared’s life. Maybe you were the childhood friend who witnessed little Jared hitting his first alley-oop court side, or you’re the homie who helped Tori cheat on a history exam during the peak of your prepubescent days. Don’t worry, we won’t name names, and we’re glad you’re here. I know many of you held Jared’s hair back during college after those infamous Emerson parties. While a few of you have only met these two recently, as the incredibly snatched power couple they’ve become. As for Tori and Jared’s families; thank you for putting up with them. God really did break the mold when he made these two newlyweds. Then the mold caught fire and melted away once Jared and Tori decided to marry. May God have mercy on our souls.

However you had the pleasure of Tori and Jared entering your lives; those experiences are uniquely yours. Between all of us we hold so many different memories, silly moments, trials and tribulations, and adventurous occasions. But we all share one major thing in common; love. We love Tori and Jared and we love the love they’ve given us in return.

They stand here before us in love as they commit the ultimate declaration of love, and we love that for them. Love is universal like that. So today we are here for love, for support, and most importantly, for some free food. As Jared and Tori share the rest of their lives together, they’re going to experience their fair share of ups and downs. Luckily for us we get to help them start things off in the most joyous way, and luckily for these two, they complete each other, so they’ll be in good hands. You two fell in love by chance, but you're here today because you're making a choice. You are choosing each other.

DECLARATION OF INTENT

On behalf of the couple I wanted to share that Jared and Tori hiked to the top of Pikes Peak where they read personal vows to one another before standing in front of us today.

Sharing the testimony of your love on one of the highest summits of the Rocky Mountains, that’s pretty impressive. To any of you getting married next, good luck topping that!

Tori and Jared, you're about to make a promise to one other that you intend to keep. You're vowing to be there, to take care of each other, to stand up for one another, and for every experience, you want the other to be a part of it.

Your wedding rings serve as a reminder of the promises you make today to each other. They are a symbol of an eternal bond, with no beginning and no end. That means you two are stuck with each other!

PRONOUNCEMENT

Look at these two! They’re really doing it! Tori and Jared, as you head out into the world as newlyweds - keep your humble beginnings full of laughter, full of vulnerability, and full of honesty. Speaking of all that, the best part is now when you don’t feel like it, you have the other to tell them that it’s definitely their turn to empty the dishwasher.

By the strength of your love and the power vested in me by the State of Colorado and American Marriage Ministries, I now pronounce you married! You may seal it with a kiss!
