Welcome loved ones,

We are gathered here this morning to join Lindsey and Nick in the union of marriage.

This day is special because of the fact that Lindsey and Nick have decided to commit their lives to one another. And it is uniquely special because it is Lindsey's birthday, one she shares with her grandmother Myrtice who would be 100 today. It was also Myrtice and Woody's wedding date. We are happy to celebrate all of those things today.

While marriage is indeed, the joining of two hearts and two souls, it is also the joining of two individuals. Two people with their own thoughts, beliefs, and their own identities; identities which are not lost simply by the commitment made to love one another.

Do you Lindsey welcome this joining freely, and without question take Nick as your lifelong partner and equal in all that you may face, encounter, celebrate or rejoice?

Lindsey and Nick will now exchange rings as a symbol of their love.
