Officiated by Jodee Silva at Their New Home in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania on October 15th, 2022. Witnessed by Wanderson Silva and William Gooch.
"I was so honored when my best friend asked me to officiate her wedding. I have been with her through meeting Jayme, dating, and all of the ups and downs that led them to the alter. It was a very warm October day and everything turned out perfectly! Looking forward to my next wedding in March for another dear friend."
DECLARATION OF INTENT
Jodee: Dear friends and family, thank you for joining us today to witness and celebrate the union of JAYME ALLEN LONGERBEAM and KRYSTYNA MARIE SHAFFER. I have to say, it has been the most wonderful experience watching them grow together over the past 4 years. Will and I were fortunate enough to be there from the very beginning. We watched as a small spark in Ocean City grew into flirting at the office, then into the beautiful love that they share today.
Will: Yes, we were. We watched as they became friends, FINALLY went on their first date, and as they bought their first home together….and after today, Jayme will never need to play “fake” boyfriend again! (laugh)
As we all know, a true marriage begins well before the wedding day, and the efforts of marriage continue well beyond the ceremony. A single piece of paper and the stroke of the pen are all that is required to create the legal bond of marriage, but it takes a lifetime of love, commitment, and compromise to make marriage durable and everlasting.
EXCHANGE VOWS
Jodee: Today, Will and I are honored to unite Jayme and Krystyna together in matrimony before their family and friends.
Will: Jayme and Krystyna have written their own vows, which they will share with us now.
Jodee: Jayme, will you please share your vows with Krystyna in front of your family and friends.
>>Jayme shares his vows
Will: Krystyna, will you now please share your vows with Jayme.
>> Krystyna shares her vows
TRANSITIONAL STATEMENT
Jodee: Thank you, Jayme and Krystyna. Now, let’s take a moment to remember all of the adventures you’ve shared:
• From some steamy texts on Valentine’s Day to lazy Football Sundays
• From living together to living apart
• From the first fight to the first time you said “I love you”
Think through all that you’ve shared, all the good and the bad, know this: that it is ALL those moments, all the good and the bad alike, that have led you to this moment here, the one where you become husband and wife.
Will: As you move forward into this next chapter of your lives, no matter how busy your days may be, simply remember to make time for yourselves each day, unwind, surprise each other, and every day, find those moments to show that you are grateful for each other.
EXCHANGE RINGS
Jodee: The beautiful thing about your vows, is that you get to symbolize them through the wearing of your wedding rings. The rings you are about to exchange are a symbol of commitment and of love.
Will: These rings are made of solid, sturdy metal to withstand the test of time. They will always be the physical reminder of the vows you’ve just shared with each other.
Jodee: Jayme, as you place this ring on Krystyna’s finger, repeat after me:
Jodee/Jayme: Krystyna, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness to you and as a reminder that you are my best friend and the love of my life.
(slide ring on finger)
WILL: KRYSTYNA, As you place this ring on Jayme’s finger, repeat after me:
