SIMPLE CEREMONY SCRIPT

Good evening,

We are gathered together here to join Rebecca Amy & David Edds in the union of marriage.

This contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep

realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, loyalty, and

understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home. No other vows are more important than those you are about to pledge.

Declaration of Intent

“Please face each other and join hands.”

OFFICIANT To Rebecca

Do you, Rebecca, take David to be your lawful wedded husband? Do you promise to love him, and comfort him, honor him, and keep him in sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer, for better or for worse and be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?

Rebecca: “I do.”

OFFICIANT To David

Do you, David, take Rebecca to be your lawful wedded wife? Do you promise to love her, and comfort her, honor her, and keep her in sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer, for better or for worse and be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?

David: “I do.”

“Rebecca and David will now share their vows.”

David: I love you with all my heart. I think you are beautiful, caring, loving, and amazing. There is nobody on this planet that I would rather spend my life with. I love you, literally all of the time.

Rebecca: I love you with all that I have and all that I am. You took my frozen heart and warmed it up with your love, honor, and fearless dedication to me and to us. I found you again and was completely amazed at how you moved mountains to bring us together. I am completely devoted to you and to us. Thank you for changing my life forever.

Rebecca & David will now exchange rings as a symbol of their love and commitment

Rebecca, place your ring on David’s finger and repeat after me.
