Ladies and gentlement, we are gathered here today to celebrate the union of two faithful souls, Nikko and Ramona .

These two have come together with you, their family and friends, to celebrate their love and commitment they will make to each other today. As we all know, it is impossible to manufacture or imitate love; love is at once more wonderful and more terrible than death, than human intelligence, than forces of nature. The union we all witness today is built on a true love that runs deep for both Nikko and Ramona that has a strong foundation. Nikko and Ramona have written their own vows. …

Building on this strong foundation, as you both know, you are protected, in short, by your ability to love. As you make your wedding vows, remember this truth and honor it each day of your marriage. And now may I have the rings.please repeat after me:

Friends and Family you occupy an important place in this couple’s lives. It is in your company that these two have learned the lesson of friendship, of the tremendous act of giving one’s affection to another, and they ask your blessing as well over their marriage. Now that their life is entering a new phase, your role will be different but not diminished. And so on this , their wedding day, Ramona and Nikko ask you to remain steadfast, reaching out to them in times of trouble , helping them celebrate their achievements and their joys. Wherever your own destiny may carry you we ask that you continue to include them in your lives.

As all of us here in attendance know, we only are as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided. Nikko and Ramona have declared their love and commitment to each other, for each other and in front of us as witnesses to their bond. We all share in that commitment and will support it throughout their married life; it is with that strength and support that Nikko and Ramona will look back at the end of their time on this earth and say in earnest: After all this time? Always.
