Invocation:
Ladies and gentleman, we are gathered here today in the sight of God and witnesses to unite Joshua and Victoria in the bonds of Holy Matrimony. If anyone here can show just cause why they may not be lawfully joined together, let them speak now or forever hold their peace. Joshua and Victoria, if it is your desire to take the vows which will legally unite you, at this time please respond "IT IS".
Joshua: "it is"
Victoria: "it is"
Prayer:
Let us pray, Lord we thank you today for Joshua and Victoria's love for each other. We thank you for the love you have given them. We pray that you will continue to guide their hearts to each other and to fill their new life with the joys of marriage. And to always remind Joshua, the key to a happy life is a happy wife. In Jesus name we pray A-man.
Declaration of intent:
Joshua, do you take Victoria Brown to be your lawful wedded wife, to live in Holy Matrimony, to love, honor and cherish from this day forward, forsaking all others, keeping only unto her for as long as you both shall live?
Joshua: "I DO"
Victoria, do you take Joshua Deese to be your lawful wedded husband, to live in Holy Matrimony, to love, honor, cherish and obey from this day forward, forsaking all others, keeping only unto him for as long as you both shall live?
Victoria: "I DO"
Vow Exchange:
Please turn and face each other. Joshua please repeat after me: I Joshua Deese take Victoria Brown to be my lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish, till death do us part.
Victoria, Please repeat after me: I Victoria Brown take Joshua Deese to be my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish, till death do us part.
Ring Exchange:
May we have the rings please? The wedding ring is a symbol of eternity. It is an outward sign of an inward and spiritual bond which unites two hearts in endless love. And now as a token of your love and deep desire to be forever united in heart and soul.
Joshua: Place the ring on Victoria's ring finger and repeat after me. With this ring i thee wed. Wear it as a symbol of my vows, love and commitment forever.
Victoria: Place the ring on Joshua's ring finger and repeat after me. With this ring i thee wed. Wear it as a symbol of my vows, love and commitment forever.
Blessed Rings: May these rings be blessed so that you both may abide in peace and continue in love until life ends.
By the power vested in me and by the state of North Carolina, I now pronounce you both husband and wife.
You may kiss the bride.
