When I was preparing for this, aside from being very nervous , I wondered if Andrew was ready? Will he make a good husband? Then I thought about how he was raised. And it was women who led him throughout his life. He was brought up with a house full of women. As he began his education journey, again is was a woman that saw him through his trials and tribulations of his primary years. It was always women who he looked up to honored and held dear to his heart. After I thought about it, I realized he definitely would be a good husband.

All partners need to grow together so if he’s immature in some aspects, he will grow, but I know that he knows how to respect, honor and love a woman, and I know that he he does that for Meylin now. I heard that from the first week he met her and I hear it and see it every day in our home.

I’ve grown close to Meylin over the last couple of months and I can’t imagine a more pure of heart person to be part of our family. I too fell in love with her almost immediately there’s nothing not to love about her. She’s eager to learn to improve herself and help others; there’s not an ounce of greed or selfishness to her. When she talks about Andrew, she exudes love and joy, just as any young couple would. (How joyous are those days?) I listen as she expresses concerns about her family their health and missing her family, and I hear the unconditional love of a family, which is by far the most important part of a marriage.

So it is with this thought of these two people I love and knowing they can bring to their marriage unconditional love, honor, and respect that I decided that I needed to make this wedding happen for them at this very special time while her parents and grandmother were able to be with us. So if you will please help me bear witness as this beautiful couple enters into the unity of marriage.

¡Bienvenidos! Cuando me estaba preparando para esto, además de estar muy nervioso, me preguntaba si Andrew estaba listo. ¿Será un buen marido? Entonces pensé en cómo lo criaron. Y fueron las mujeres las que lo guiaron a lo largo de su vida. Se crió en una casa llena de mujeres. Cuando comenzó su viaje educativo, nuevamente fue una mujer que lo ayudó a superar las pruebas y tribulaciones de sus años primarios. Siempre fueron las mujeres a las que admiraba, honraba y apreciaba en su corazón. Después de pensarlo, me di cuenta de que definitivamente sería un buen esposo.

Todas las parejas necesitan crecer juntas, así que si es inmaduro en algunos aspectos, crecerá, pero sé que sabe respetar, honrar y amar a una mujer, y sé que ahora lo hace por Meylin. Escuché eso desde la primera semana que la conoció y lo escucho y lo veo todos los días en nuestra casa.

Me he acercado a Meylin en los últimos meses y no puedo imaginar a una persona más pura de corazón para ser parte de nuestra familia. Yo también me enamoré de ella casi de inmediato, no hay nada que no amar de ella. Está ansiosa por aprender a mejorarse a sí misma y ayudar a los demás; no hay ni una pizca de codicia o egoísmo en ella. Cuando habla de Andrew, emana amor y alegría, como lo haría cualquier pareja joven. (¿Cuán alegres son esos días?) Escucho mientras expresa preocupaciones sobre su familia, su salud y extraña a su familia, y escucho el amor incondicional de una familia, que es, con mucho, la parte más importante de un matrimonio.

Entonces, con este pensamiento de estas dos personas que amo y sabiendo que pueden aportar a su matrimonio amor incondicional, honor y respeto, decidí que necesitaba hacer que esta boda sucediera para ellos en este momento tan especial mientras sus padres y abuela pudieron estar con nosotros. Entonces, por favor, ayúdenme a dar testimonio de cómo esta hermosa pareja entra en la unidad del matrimonio.
