Dearly Beloved and Honored Guests,

I hope you are all doing well on this beautiful September day!

We are gathered here today in the sight of God and these witnesses to join together

Kyah Noel Ricard Merritt and Christopher Jordan Spedden in holy matrimony.

I wanted to read an excerpt from one of Kyah's favorite movies, that I felt was appropriate for today's ceremony, not only because it seems to be the theme for this couple's relationship, but because of the names of the two main characters...

Don't worry, you'll see in just a moment exactly what I mean.

Eve : How does it go again?

Adam : When you separate an entwined particle and you move both parts away from the other, even at opposite ends of the universe, if you alter or affect one, the other will be identically altered or affected.

Eve : Spooky. ...

Adam : Yeah.

That says it all...doesn't it?

When you affect one particle of Kyah, you affect another particle of Chris. They are most definitely entwined particles...destined to meet, and NEVER to be parted.

Please understand, this contract of "mawwiage" is not to be entered into lightly, but thoughtfully and sincerely, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities.

I ask that we all remember that love is many things, but the Bible says it most profoundly in

Corinthians, Chapter 13, verses 4 through 7:

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Let us pray for this man and woman as they make their marriage vows."

Heavenly Father, thank You for another day of this beautiful thing called life.

As Kyah and Chris pledge themselves to each other, guide and bless them abundantly.

May their love be pure and their vows be steadfast and true.
