Invocation

 

Welcome, Good evening everyone!

Thank you so much for joining us from places near and far. We are so grateful you are here to celebrate with us.

 

We take ourselves out of the usual routines of daily living to witness a unique, extra-special moment in the lives of Vince and Misti.  On this day they join their lives in the union of marriage.  They are very happy to share this moment with you. 

 

They have known most of you for many years. You’ve watched them grow up, you went to school with them, or you worked with them. Each of you represents an important piece of Vince & Misti’s lives, and they thank you sincerely for your friendship, love and support. 

 

Officiant:

As Vince and Misti prepared for the ceremony part of this wedding celebration, they reflected on what it is that they love about each other.  

To the Groom:

Vince, when you and Misti first met on your blind date, she was so nervous at first, but you appeared calm, and if you were nervous, you hid it well.  Conversation flowed easily with you which helped ease Misti's anxiety quickly.  Misti feels that every stage of your relationship has felt natural and comfortable as if you two have known each other for many years.  The first time Misti realized she was falling in love with you is when the two of you watched It's a Wonderful Life together and she saw how you reacted to the touching parts of the movie.  She could tell that you are a man of good character with priorities in life that matched hers.  Over the course of meeting your family and friends she heard from several that have known you most of your life that they have observed those same qualities in you as well, which just confirmed what she had felt.  

As her feelings for you grew stronger and stronger, she wanted to tell you how she was feeling but was a little nervous.   The first time you introduced her as your "girlfriend", she then knew you were on the same path towards each other.  You were the brave one to say "I love you" first, but she had been feeling the same way too, which with your perceptiveness, you probably already knew.  She is often in awe of how you know what she's feeling before she even communicates it to you.  She loves that she can communicate with you openly and honestly and trust that even if you don't like what she says, the two of you will find a way to "figure it out".  She loves the safety and peace that comes from knowing that whatever trials you two might face, you are in it together for the long haul.  She appreciates so much knowing that you make sound and rational choices when it comes to finances and that you always include her when those decisions are being made.  She knows she can COUNT ON YOU to love her, and after the Tahoe trip, she knows you will protect her from crazy, out-of-control people like the laundromat lady😂😂😂

Misti LOVES how affectionate you are with her!  When you come up behind her when she's doing dishes or cooking and you give her a bear hug from behind and maybe a little kissy poo on the neck or head, she just melts inside.  She LOVES the random taps on the booty that let her know you see her and are thinking about her😉😉.  She LOVES the cuddle time on the couch watching tv after a long day.  She LOVES it when you are out and about and you grab her hand as you're walking together. She LOVES your strong hands that rub out her sore muscles from working.  And she LOVES that you always text her when leaving work to let her know you're on the way and that delicious hug and kiss from her silver fox are only minutes away!  

Misti remembers your first camping trip together when you were having a moment to just look up at the moon and how magical that moment felt.  Misti truly feels like you have lassoed the moon for her by being who you are and providing her all of the wishes of her heart that she has been waiting her whole life to be fulfilled.  She knows that neither of you are perfect, but she promises to remind herself of the ways you are perfect for each other.💚💚

To The Bride:

At 54, Vince was certain that his chance to meet the love of his life had passed him by. Little did he know that fate would intervene and some how convince him to say yes to a blind date (Thanks Lisa Jordan). (And that’s a black shirt not a blue one).

After the first 3 house of coffee and a few text messages, when you agreed to Play Golf with his sister on the FIRST date, Vince had a feeling this could work. Then, to end the first date, when you ran into his Daughter unexpectedly at homestead, you handled it so easily and perfectly that Vince knew then he had found someone special. From that day forward your relationship grew to the point that Vince could not see a future without you in it. It has just few RIGHT from the start and only increased as the years have gone by.

There is one word that you say to each other than means everything to you both.

The Word is “MUTUL”. Every time Vince hears you say it, his love for you grows.

Vince wants you to know what it means when he says MUTUL to you.

Misti,

I love you with all my heart. Your physical beauty is undeniable and only surpassed by the beauty of your heart and soul. Your eyes and smile melt me. Your kisses stir me and your loving heart warms me. I know our life together will always be filled with Love, Respect and PASSION. I am forever thankful that you chose me to spend the rest of your day with.

DECLARATION/MARRIAGE VOWS

 

Officiant:

Before you declare your vows to one another, I would like to hear you confirm that it is indeed your intention to be married today.

 

Vince, do you come here freely and without reservation to give yourself to Misti in marriage? If so, answer “I do.”

Groom:

Misti, do you come here freely and without reservation to give yourself to Vince in

marriage? If so, answer “I do.”

Bride:

I do.

Officiant:

Vince and Misti, having heard that it is your intention to be married to each other, I now ask you to declare your marriage vows.

 

 

VOWS EXCHANGE

 

Please face each other and hold hands.

Officiant:

Vince, please repeat after me…

I, Vince take you, Misti to be my wife.

I will support you through times of trouble,

and rejoice with you in times of happiness.

I promise to try to be my best every day.

Misti, please repeat after me…

I, Misti, take you, Vince, to be my husband.

I will  support you through times of trouble,

and rejoice with you in times of happiness.

I promise to try to be my best every day.

Officiant:

And so now by the power vested in me by the State of Idaho, it is my honor and delight to declare you husband and wife. You may seal this declaration with a big wet juicy kiss.
