ABOUT THIS WEDDING
"This was a very nice, small, intimate wedding on the Maine coast. The bride is a cousin through marriage. It is a second wedding for both, due to the loss of their spouses. The ceremony took place on a raised deck at the back of a family house, with a wonderful view of the Maine coastline as a backdrop. There were approximately 30 people in attendance, including their five adult children (three of hers; two of his), and grandchildren, all of whom participated in the ceremony (actually, I think the twin grandchildren nodded off prior to the ceremony)! The ceremony itself was short and sweet, with some reminiscing at the beginning, followed by standard Declaration of Intent and other normal wordings, etc. Very nice ring exchange...simple yet well-done. An in-home toast ceremony followed, then the wedding party was off to a restaurant for an early evening dinner event. I did not attend the festivities following the wedding, due to a prior commitment back in Connecticut. "
