Officiated by Erin Lynn Kosisky at The Grove in Dallas, Pennsylvania on May 28th, 2022.
"It was such an amazing honor to be able to officiate the wedding of dear, dear friends. It was raining the entire day, then as the bride began to walk down the aisle to the song Here Comes The Sun, the rain stopped and the sun actually came out. It instantly made me start crying and the wedding hadn't even begun yet. Simply amazing."

The Invocation:
“We are gathered here today to celebrate with Annie and Kyle as they
proclaim their love and commitment to each other, to Emmie and Max, and to all of
you; their very dear family and friends. We are gathered to rejoice, with and for
them, as they continue their journey together as husband and wife.
It is one of life’s greatest miracles when two people love each other so fantastically
that they are willing to commit their lives together as one spirit. The ability to love
is a miraculous gift that God has given us, and a wedding is a celebration of that
gift.
Annie and Kyle would like to thank everyone for being here today. Let us take a
moment now to recognize the family of Annie and Kyle and to thank them for their
love, support and devotion, as these two grew from adolescence and into the
beautiful individuals who stand here before us on this beautiful day. Thank you for
teaching them values and showing them the beauty and joy of loving another
person.
At this time, we would also like to honor those who could not be with us today.
Although some of our loved ones are not here with us physically, we feel blessed
that they are with us in spirit. We offer a moment of silence to honor their memory
while Annie and Kyle light the remembrance candle.
Annie and Kyle have enough love for each other to share with all of us, but also and
most importantly to envelope two very special hearts with a love and protection
stronger than any other. Emmie and Max are a constant source of joy, inspiration,
and hope for them.
Max, your curiosity, humor, and determination remind them to look at things with a
light heart and focus.
Emmie, your compassion, acceptance, and forgiving nature remind them to tend to
each other’s needs and forgive moments of imbalance.
Emmie and Max, together your playfulness, love, and imagination remind them to
be open to new changes and to find the fun in every step they take. Without the
two of you, this day would not be complete.
Today, Annie and Kyle, you are promising in front of your family and friends that
you both want to be with each other and only each other for the rest of your lives,
and that you will do everything in your power to honor the promises that you are
making here today…and so I ask,”
Declaration of Intent:
Erin to Kyle: “Kyle, have you come here today freely and without reservation to
give yourself to this woman, Annie Claire Sherwin, in marriage? Do you promise to
trust and honor her, to love her faithfully through the best and the worst for as long
as you both shall live?
Kyle: “Can confirm.”
Erin to Annie: “Annie, have you come here today freely and without reservation to
give yourself to this man, Kyle William Britt, in marriage? Do you promise to trust
and honor him, to love him faithfully through the best and the worst for as long as
you both shall live?
Annie: “Can confirm.”
Vows Exchange/ Handfasting:
Erin: “Let us begin the hand-fasting ceremony to symbolize this unity. Hand-fasting
is an ancient Celtic tradition that involves literally tying the knot, which we are
about to see and celebrate, to signify Annie and Kyle’s love and commitment to
each other.
I now invite Big John and Lynn, Kyle’s parents to come forth to lay the first cord.
This cord represents guidance and many blessings and is a constant reminder that
you have a giant support team behind you always.
Now, for the final cord, we will need Emmie and Max. [Emmie and Max lay the final
cord across Annie and Kyle’s hand.]
This cord represents family, love, and laughter; something that is ever present in
the home of Annie, Kyle, Emmie, Max, and all of their fur babies.
I now ask that Annie and Kyle each take an end of the cords in their other hands
and pull each side; creating a knot in the shape of an infinity symbol as a reminder
that this love is endless.
Erin: “I now ask Annie and Kyle to exchange the vows in which they have written
for each other.”
Kyle: Vows
Annie: Vows
Rings Exchange:
Erin: “Annie and Kyle will now exchange rings as a symbol of their love and
commitment. Our master Ring Bearers will now bring forth the rings.”
Erin: “The ring, an unbroken and infinite circle, represents unending love. May
these rings, when you look upon them, be a joyous reminder of this moment and
the love you have promised to each other.”
Erin to Kyle: “Kyle, please place this ring on Annie’s finger as you repeat after me:
‘Annie, I give you this ring/ as a symbol of my vow to devote my love and life to
you/ with all that I am and we are/ and all that I have to share in life/ I will honor
and cherish you in the name of God.’”
Erin to Annie: “Annie, please place this ring on Kyle’s finger as you repeat after me:
Kyle, I give you this ring/ as a symbol of my vow to devote my love and life to you/
with all that I am and we are/ and all that I have to share in life/ I will honor and
cherish you in the name of God.’”
Erin: “Annie and Kyle, I wish you both so much love and happiness as you begin
this new chapter. Remember to keep lots of laughter in your life together, and love
will never be far behind. You two are the perfect balance; Kyle, you help to ground
Annie when she needs it the most. You are always there for her and ready to whip
up a spontaneous charcuterie board at a moment’s notice or lack thereof. Annie;
you help Kyle to grow by challenging him to try new things. It is my understanding
that Kyle eats vegetables now. Continue having those kitchen dance parties and
embarking on new adventures. I have had the great joy in experiencing first hand
the light and love the two of you bring into a room when you enter it, just as
everyone else here has.”
Final Blessing:
Erin: “Annie and Kyle, today you have stood before these witnesses, before God,
your family, and friends, and declared your intent to commit your lives to each
other in marriage. You have made promises to each other and your family. Your
road to this moment has not always been smooth, but you continued to fight for
one another and find a way to make it work. I hope you will never forget the fight
and perseverance it has taken to get to this moment, and I hope you will never
forget the love and joy you feel today, because these are the values that will keep
your marriage, family, and bond to one another strong. May all that you are always
be in love.
The Pronouncement:
Erin: “Annie and Kyle, you have promised your love to each other in the company
of your wonderful families. By the power vested in me by American Marriage
Ministries and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, I now pronounce you man and
wife!! You may now kiss!”
KISS! KISS! KISS! KISS! KISS! KISS!
