Dear friends & family, we are gathered her today to witness & celebrate the union of Kenneth Mickles & Kenosha Washington. Today on this joyous occasion we witness the destiny of two souls. It has been said that a true marriage begins well before the wedding day, and the efforts of marriage continue well beyond the ceremony. A brief moment in time & the stroke of the pen are all that is required to create the legal bond of marriage, but it takes a lifetime of love, commitment, and compromise to make marriage durable and everlasting.

Opening Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, we honor you this day as Kenneth & Kenosha pledge their hearts & lives together.

Keep them rooted & grounded in love just as the Sheppard's Tree in the bowels of the earth.

Allow their hearts to glow warmly with love, like a flame that burns with sacred fire, and let each “I Love You” ever ignite a spark of desire.

Make them an unstoppable force, just as the wind carrying them through life calmly & safely in your arms.

Cause love to spring up as rivers of water quenching every thirst, let it be a salve cleaning, soothing, & refreshing the relationship daily.

Grant this union the longevity to outlive even the longest of lives and let their love be boundless & unbreakable.

May God bless you with enough Unity to keep your roots intertwined, and enough separation to keep you reaching for each other for a lifetime. Amen.

You hold in your hands two beautiful rings symbolic of a binding contract, to be given and received as bonds of never-ending love and devoted friendship, circles of life & circles of love. May these rings be blessed as the symbol of this affectionate unity.

Kenneth/Kenosha place the ring on Kenosha’s/Kenneth’s finger and repeat after me…

With this ring, I choose you this day and forevermore.

In this moment we will acknowledge the coming together of the Mickles family to create something special with this Unity Puzzle.

We start with God in the center, God centers us, holds us together and forms the core of our lives. Kenneth, Kenosha, Tamel, Tre, & Kennedi.

Each holds a piece of the puzzle that represents you, your personality, strengths, fears, and dreams.

As you each place your piece in the puzzle, it symbolizes the joining of your separate lives into one union, the beginning of your journey as a family.

This completed puzzle becomes a beautiful physical reminder of love.
