We are assembled here today in the presence of God, and these witnesses for the purpose of uniting Terry and Peggy in holy marriage.

This contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, loyalty and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home. The bible states that a man shall leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife, and they twain shall be one flesh.

Terry and Peggy have come today to make that commitment.

If anyone present knows any just reason why they should not be lawfully joined together, let them speak now, or forever hold their peace.

Will you both hold each others right hand.

Do you Terry take Peggy to be your lawfully wedded wife to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and bad, for richer or poorer, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?

Do you Peggy take Terry to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and bad, for richer or poorer, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?

Terry: Place the ring on Peggy's finger and repeat after me. This ring, I give you to keep in memory of our pledge, and in token of our constant faith and abiding love.

Peggy: Place the ring on Terry's finger and repeat after me. This ring, I give you to keep in memory of our pledge, and in token of our constant faith and abiding love.

By the authority invested in me as a minister by the Church and by the state of Illinois, I now pronounce you husband and wife, according to the commands of the bible and the laws of the state; in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. What God has joined together, let no man put asunder. You may now kiss your bride.
