Welcome Friends, Family, and loved ones, we are
gathered here together today in the sight of God and
each other as witnesses to celebrate the marriage of Tim
Young and Tracey Landrum.
How fortunate some of us are, that find love later in life.
It’s a wonderful blessing to find your soulmate after all
the foolishness and mistakes of youth have passed. Your
love and devotion to each other will be stronger and the
rewards greater because maturity brings forth the
respect, patience and commitment that a successful
marriage requires.
Before we begin, let us bow our heads and ask God’s
blessings for Tim and Tracy
Heavenly Father and Lord, we ask for your blessings upon
Tim and Tracy, we come to you knowing that you have
created them for a purpose, and we’re confident, that
your will for their lives contains some amazing triumphs
for them as they walk together in your name. We ask
that you bless them and keep them with you, and that
you hold us accountable to do the same, and we as that
you comfort and care for those loved ones that could not
be here today. In your holy name. Amen
Ladies and Gentlemen, we hold marriage up as a sacred
union between two people who are committed to loving
each other and spending the rest of their lives together,
faithful to each other, and to their journey together. But
we also know it requires deep commitment, faith and
trust. Marriage is one of God’s greatest gifts to man, the
gift of love between a man and a woman as they become
one. The Apostle Paul describes this type love in 1St
Corinthians, Love is patient,
Love is kind. It does not envy;
it does not boast. It is not proud,
it does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and
always preservers.
Tim and Tracy, it's time to declare your love and
commitment to each other.
Tim, do you take Tracy to be your lawfully wedded wife,
from this day forward, to have and to hold, in good times
and bad, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health; Will
you love, honor, and cherish her for as long as you both
shall live.
