"I was very nervous about this wedding! I ended up changing the script last minute after I got a little more information about the couple. 5 years together and kids came with the relationship so I picked a more personal and intimate script I combined. This was essentially a “blind date” wedding as I only got the meet the couple and talk to them moments before the ceremony. It was short, sweet and perfect! Gorgeous sunset wedding on the beach! It was the perfect first wedding. Less than 10 of us there, and it went smooth and easy. I loved getting to be a part of their special day! "

INVOCATION
Welcome to our beloved and honored guests. We’re gathered here today to celebrate __________ and __________, as they make a promise of love and commitment to one another.
What a gift and joy to find someone with whom to spend our life! Committing to share our brightest days and weather our darkest nights with someone is no small thing and cannot be done lightly.
Commitment is about trust. Its about patience, forgiveness, devotion, and hope. It’s what happens when a relationship becomes a home – a place of safety and love – to which each partner can return, again and again.
A true marriage begins well before the wedding day, and the efforts of marriage continue well beyond the ceremony. A brief moment in time and the stroke of the pen are all that is required to create the legal bond of marriage, but it takes a lifetime of love, commitment, and compromise to make marriage durable and everlasting.
Today you declare your commitment to each other before family and friends.
