Melissa Rosso And Todd Jennings’ Wedding Wedding Ceremony Script

(Good Afternoon everyone, we are going to begin the ceremony, so I ask that everyone please take their

place.)

[Entrance]

We are going to begin the ceremony with a prayer to offer up the love of Melissa and Todd to the most

high.

Lord, Father of mankind, whose nature is love, look with favor upon this woman and this man who desire to

express their vows before you. Grant this to be more than an outward union, but also the blending of hearts and spirits and purposes. We thank you for Melissa and Todd, that you have brought them together for this special day. Bless each with the inward qualities of integrity, trust, cooperation, and forgiveness, so that they may live together in love and peace. And from this day forward they would walk hand in hand into everything that you have destined them to be. We give our hearts and beings to You now in adoration And welcome Your Holy Spirit amongst us.

In Christ Name, Amen.

Dearly Beloved and Honored Guests,

We are gathered together here to join Melissa Yvette Rosso and Todd Jennings in this beautiful, spiritual union of marriage.

This is the official contract that binds these amazing beings under one, unconditional love, and to enforce

an eternal promise to be kept and held on to for many years to come.

As stated in Proverbs 3:3-4

"Let Love and Faithfulness never leave you:

Bind them around your neck and write them on the tablet of your heart.

Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man."

[Part 1]

Friends and Family of the Loving couple,

-This Celebration is not only to rejoice because two creatures of God's hands found their soulmate out of

the billions of people here on Earth. But it is also to acknowledge and recognize a love that Melissa and Todd share in the depths of their hearts and are ready to express through the following stages of each other's lives.

-We are admiring a commitment the couple is ready to endure through all the obstacles that will be thrown their way, not to overcome separately, but as a joint married couple.

We admire a commitment that will spread hope to those who doubt they will find "the one", and spread

comfort to those who are patiently seeking their soulmate.

-and finally admiring a commitment, unifying them not by shared checkbooks or Netflix accounts, but by

one of the most complex ideas and expressions many of us find hard to understand, Love.

[Part 2]

Love is not an object, it is not a description, it is not an idea, and it is not a word. Love is a feeling that

requires no thought; an emotion that promotes constant action to bring itself to life. The perception of love

varies from couple to couple and is beautiful to see how it is expressed in so many different ways.

Love can either come at the most convenient of times, or it can come when you least expect it. In some

cases, attending the same wedding at Lazy Hills in Ingram TX, making eye contact from a distance while standing in the BBQ line. Who would have known at that moment these two would spend their courtship living and learning about one another, experiencing many life changing moments and several years later here we are witnessing their love and commitment to each other.

For Melissa and Todd, Love is expressed through their enjoyment of outdoor activities like pulling their fifth wheel far and near to various State parks and every year to the mountains to the Whittington center for the PPC match. A shared love for being on the lake all summer long, you will find Melissa pulling the boat, and Todd pulling the fifth wheel as they take the back roads to their favorite places for boating, fishing, and floating on the lake. They enjoy spending quality time with family and friends or when there is work to do at their San Antonio home, they share the little things like yard work, or BBQing at Ray’s house (Melissa’s brother). The quality time spent in Haskell TX with Tedd and Mary Jennings is cherished each and every visit. The 4-hour drive is well worth it as homemade pecan pie and homemade bread is waiting for Melissa.

To Melissa, love showed itself to be a resourceful conversationalist. A man who is hard working, educated, predictable, a good cook, and washes clothes and folds towels. Someone who can look at situations, good or bad from a different point of view. Melissa can experience that same feeling of love whenever she needs a second opinion, she finds herself saying to Todd, “hey I need to pick your brain”, and he says, “is it going to cost me money or labor”?

To Todd, love showed itself to be an independent giver. A woman who (sometimes to a fault) always puts

others first before herself, is intellectual, has a loving heart, is strong in making her own decisions, and is

Todd's greatest Asset. Todd can experience that same feeling of love whenever he thinks about camping in the mountains, and immediately pictures his life with Melissa.

-Many people fall in love for the wrong reason, I believe Melissa and Todd fell in love for all the right ones.

[Part 3]

Before Melissa and Todd exchange their vows to each other, the couple would like to sincerely thank

everyone for being here today and acknowledge the loved ones who are not able to be present with us, but

are here in loving spirit.

Melissa would like to especially acknowledge a woman who has been her saving grace in the most darkess days of her life; someone who has been by her side through the good times, but especially the hardships that have affected her and her family. She would like to extend a very loving thank you to a woman she calls “Tia”! Her Aunt Sylvia has been like a second mom to her, who has unconditionally loved her, taken care of her in her younger years, spoiled her, and who selflessly stepped in to help Melissa care for her father when he became terminally ill and upon his last few days of his life on Earth. Melissa is eternally grateful for your love and support, and can’t repay you enough for the person you are and the person you have been to her. Thank you to cuzzie Cathy and Denise for being so supportive and loving during that time.

At this time, Melissa and Todd have prepared vows to not only express their love for each other but to

strengthen the commitment they share amongst themselves.

[Later Prayer]

Gracious God, our hearts are filled with great happiness on this wedding day of Melissa and Todd. They come before you, pledging their lives and their hearts to one another.

Grant that they may be ever true and loving, living together in such a way as to never bring heartbreak into their marriage.

Temper their hearts with kindness and help them to be sweethearts, helpmates, friend and guide, and together, may they meet the cares and problems of life more bravely.

May their home truly be a place of love and harmony where your Spirit is ever-present. Bless their wedding day, we pray, and walk beside them, through all their life together.

We pray for those who are able to be gathered with us in person and those who are with us in spirit. May this wedding be a reflection of love and comfort, and may we put our trust in you all the days of our lives. Amen.
