Welcome

Good afternoon, everyone!

From beautiful Vail, Colorado - we take ourselves out of the usual routines of daily living to witness a unique moment in the lives of Kayla and Koleton. Today they join their lives in the union of marriage.

To all of you (look/gesture at crowd), they are happy to share this moment with you. They have known most of you for many years. You watched them grow up, you went to school with them, you worked with them, or maybe you’ve traveled the world with them. Because you are the ones who have supported them and known them so well, it is only fitting that you are the ones to share this once-in-a-lifetime moment with them.

And so, it is my honor to preside over Kayla and Koleton as they present themselves to be married today…surrounded by the people they love the most.

Wine Ceremony

Dave:

(ASK FOR BOTH SET OF PARENTS TO COME UP)

A good wine, like a good marriage, is the result of many years of hard work. There is the unhurried nurturing of the vine and tender care of the grape, thoughtful mix of ingredients, patient fermenting — yielding the unique flavors of each passing year.

This wedding represents a blending of your families, separate until now, but united from this day forward. The traditions of both families have grown through time, maturing, and mellowing like fine aged wine, eventually to be shared with those most precious to us. Today the character of each family is enriched as the vines of both family vineyards now extend and cross to create a wonderful new varietal.

(To Koleton’s Parents)

May this wine symbolize for all how sharing the partnership of marriage not only doubles the sweetness of life, but also lightens the burden of its bitterness by half.

Alright everyone (look/gesture at crowd), before we make this official, I want to remind you all that you should have picked up some bubbles as you walked in. Once I re-introduce these two, it is your time to use them!

(Turn to Kayla and Koleton)

Before your family and friends, you have pledged to be joined in marriage. You have now sealed this pledge with your wedding rings. By the authority vested in me by the great State of Colorado and American Marriage Ministries, I now pronounce you husband and wife!

You may now kiss your bride!
