INVOCATION

I'd like to begin by welcoming and thanking you all for making the extra effort to be here, to show your love and support for these 2 wonderful human beings - Zaynib and Brigid. I believe I've had the pleasure of meeting many of you at some point or may know you well. But for those of you I have not met, my name is Dominica, better known as Dom, and Brigid has been my dear friend going on 16 years now… we've been teammates, roommates, colleagues, and practically family, And while it may seem fitting that I stand here today, it is truly an honor for me to be performing this ceremony for you both

Zaynib and Brigid. Today you enter as individuals, but you will leave here as wives, blending your worlds, expanding your family ties, and embarking upon the grandest adventure of human interaction. The story of your life together is still yours to write. All those present have come to witness and celebrate your love and commitment this day - eager to a part of the story not yet told.

The most remarkable moment in life is when you meet the person who makes you feel complete the person who makes the world a beautiful and magical place that person with whom you share a bond so special that it transcends normal relationship and becomes something so pure and so wonderful that you can't imagine spending another day without them. For Brigid and Zaynib that happened more than a decade ago when they met and shared a meal in the ever-romantic Titan dining room at our beloved Alma mater, U of D.

Their fast friendship may have taken some time to… intensify, but it has always been clear that these two were made for each other.

If I may, share some words of encouragement as you begin your journey as a married couple

Remember to treat yourselves and each other with respect, and remind yourselves often of what brought you together. Take responsibility for making the other feel safe, and give the highest priority to the tenderness, gentleness and kindness that your connection deserves.

When frustration, difficulty and fear overwhelm your relationship, as they threaten all relationships at some time or another, remember to focus on what is right between you, not just the part that seems wrong. In this way, you can survive the challenging times, and trust that they are temporary.

And, if each of you takes responsibility for the quality of your life together, it will be marked by abundance and delight."

Zaynib and Brigid will now exchange rings as a symbol of their love and commitment to one another *cue RINGS*

CONFIRMATION OF LOVE

May all that you are, always be in love. May all that is love, always be in you. May your love be as beautiful on each day you share as it is on this day of celebration, and may each day you share be as precious to you as the day you first fell in love.

May you always see and encourage the best in each other, May the challenges life brings your way make your marriage even stronger. May you always be each other’s best friend and greatest love.
