Solis/Eustace Wedding
Who supports Victoria as she and Jacob take this next step together?
Dad will say: “Her mother and I do.”
Opening Remarks:
Good Evening! On behalf of the Solis’ and Eustace’s I would like to welcome everyone as we celebrate this joyous occasion witnessing Jacob and Victoria join together in union. All of us are fortunate to have been asked to witness the most important transition in a relationship between two people. This is the transition in which two people in love, commit themselves to each other, in word and action.
A true lasting marriage requires effort, commitment, and unending respect. As Jacob and Victoria declare their love on this day, we reflect on the meaning of partnership and its importance to a successful union. Partners, in life, think of one another as teammates, equally capable, but each arriving with their own special skills.
A marriage thrives when each partner chooses to value the other: for everything they are, and for everything they are not. There is no limit to what a partnership can accomplish when trust and admiration flow abundantly. Today, Jacob and Victoria acknowledge this with excitement as they prepare to join hands in marriage.
This moment in time is truly a cause for joyous celebration for we are gathered here to witness not only the beginning of a new marriage, but also the beginning of a new family.
Jacob and Victoria, would like to take this moment to recognize the significant role that Christopher and Joseph, or as I like to call them; Chachi and Cheeto, play in this marriage celebrated today. From this day forward, you are more than one couple or two individuals – you a loving and united family. You are a family drawn together by love and held together by devotion.
Family and friends let us pray together: Gracious Father God, we give you thanks for your gift of enduring love and your presence here with us now as we witness the vows of marriage between Jacob and Victoria. We ask you bless this couple in their union and throughout their life together as husband and wife. We pray that you guide Jacob and Victoria as parents to raise and teach Christopher and Joseph with love and respect; and that you protect this new family and keep and guide them from this day forward. It is in Your name that we pray. Amen
All right, let’s get to the good part.
Vows:
****Jacob and Victoria join hands. ***
Jacob, repeat after me:
I, Jacob, take you, Victoria to be my wife.
I promise that from this day forward I will regard you not only as my equal partner but as my closest friend.
I promise to comfort you in sickness and in health.
I promise to demonstrate my commitment to you through love, laughter, and compassion.
Victoria, repeat after me:

Ring Exchange:
Now we come to the blessing of the rings. May these rings be blessed as symbols of this union.
These two lives are now joined in one unbroken circle.
As you, Jacob, place this ring on Victoria’s finger, please repeat after me: I give you this ring as a symbol of my commitment to you and to our partnership in life.
