Dearly Beloved and Honored Guests, Good afternoon, and welcome! My name is Tj Jonak and I have been friends with Angel and Derrick for what seems like a life time. I am honored to have been chosen as the officiant to unite these two absolutely perfect souls in matrimony.

Angel, Derrick, and myself would like to welcome each and every one of you, and express undying gratitude for helping celebrate this beautiful achievement in both Angel, and Derricks lives. It's definitely no accident that each and every one of you are here today. Each one of you were hand picked to be here because you hold a very special place in the individual and collective lives of Angel and Derrick.

So without further delay, let's get these two love birds hitched!

We are gathered together here to join Angel Jo Fehrer and Derrick Praeuner in the spiritual union of marriage. I want you both to take a moment and look into each others eyes. What you have accomplished here today is no small feat. Your journey began long before you were licking the glue on the invitation envelops, long before choosing this absolutely gorgeous venue, and even long before you both decided to spend the rest of your lives together.

Your journey began the moment you first met. The two of you took the time to learn what makes the other person smile, what makes them laugh, and how to best support one another when life is less than simple and sweet. You welcomed each others families, communities, and lifelong friends, and joined them together with warmth and enthusiasm. You built a new world with your love, and have worked every day to support it as it changes and grows. The most remarkable moment in life is when you meet the person who makes you feel complete. That missing part you didn't even know you were missing. The person who makes the world a truly beautiful and magical place. The person with whom you share a bond so special that it transcends normal relationships and becomes something so pure and so wonderful, that you can't fathom spending another day of your life without them.

Marriages bring about some hard days, just as they bring beautiful ones. This day is a reminder of what your love has already accomplished, and the amazing possibilities of what it can continue to accomplish and overcome in the many, many years ahead of you, and we are all privileged to be a part of yours.

This contract is not to be entered into lightly, but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, loyalty, patience and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.

Angel and Derrick have written their own vows of love and devotion, and will exchange them to one another now.

"TREE TIME"

Angel and Derrick will now take part in a Unity Tree Ceremony, to symbolize the roots of their relationship, and the continued growth of their love, as they become each other's family today.

Angel and Derrick, today you stand before us ready to share the rest of your lives together as husband and wife. But long before today, your parents provided you with a foundation of love and caring which has brought you to this point. We will start by watering the tree, to symbolize a never ending wave of nourishment and support.

Love is the essence of human experience and emotion. It is the root of all and everything we as humans do. Love enriches our experience, and fills our lives with meaning. It gives us a firm base from which to grow, learn, and change.

As they begin the ceremony, I would like to share a reading with you from "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" by Louis Debernieres:

Let your relationship and your love for each other be like this tree. Let it grow tall and strong. Let it stand tall during the harsh winds and rains and storma, and come through unscathed. Like a tree, your marriage must be resilient. It must weather the challenges of daily life, as well as the passage of time.

"EXCHANGE OF RINGS"

Angel and Derrick will now exchange rings as a symbol of love and commitment to each other. Rings are a precious metal: they are also made precious by the intent in which they are given as well as the intent in which they are worn. Your wedding rings are special, They enhance who you are. They mark the begining of your long journey together. Your wedding ring is a circle-a symbol of love never ending. It is the seal of the vows you have just taken to love each other without end.

To make your relationship work will take love. Continue to date eachother. Take time to show each other that your love and marriage grows stronger with time.

It will take dedication to stay open to one another-and to learn and grow together.

It will take loyalty to go forward together, without knowing exactly what the future brings.

And it will take the commitment to hold true to the journey you both have pledged today.
