Good afternoon Family and Friends,

I want to thank Carlie and Nick today for allowing us to share in the continuing celebration of their love to one another.

We come together, not to mark the start of a relationship, but to celebrate a bond that has continued to grow and strengthen in love. Love is one, though the expressions are infinite.

Carlie Keller Auvil and Stephen Nicholas “Nick” Auvil when you joined hands and heart one year ago on October 14th, 2020; you did not know where life would take you. You promised to love, honor and cherish one another through all things. Life has surely brought you both wonderful blessings and difficult tribulations. You have fulfilled your promises and God is surely smiling! So, as you come here today to reaffirm your love to one another and you reflect over the last year as husband and wife, do you now reaffirm the vows you took a year ago? Nick and Carlie will now re-exchange their rings. As you know, the wedding ring is an unbroken circle which represents unending love. As often as either of you look upon these rings, may you be reminded of the moment and the love you have promised to one another.

As in 1st Corinthian’s, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy; it does not boast. It is not proud. It is not rude. It is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered. It keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes and always perseveres.

I wish you continued love and happiness for all the days to come as you each share this love and commitment to your children, Reda, Annie and Nathan.

Nick and Carlie, you have reaffirmed and pledged your faith to each other in the company of your families and friends. Therefore, it is my honor to reaffirm your marriage today, Saturday, October 16th, 2021.
