Welcome Statement
Minister: I want to thank family and friends for joining us to celebrate this vow renewal. My name is Minister Reece with AMM and ULC. If you were fortunate enough to attend the ceremony all those years ago during which Tyler and Clarissa initially entered marriage, how fortunate you are to have been able to witness the love and mutual respect these two have cultivated. Today, we are honored to witness Tyler and Clarissa recommit themselves to one another as a symbolic devotion to them self and to Jaxon
Minister: Tyler and Clarissa, it my pleasure to share this special occasion with you. Many believe that marriage is the last big milestone in a relationship. But the wedding day isn't intended to be the final step at all. Really (as I am sure you have learned by now) your wedding was just the beginning. Despite plenty of challenges, you have made it far enough that we are now blessed today with the opportunity to renew the vows you made before God all those years ago.
As the Bible reminds us in 1Corinthians 13:4-8, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails."
Speak Now
Minister: If there is anyone in attendance who has just cause to believe that this couple should not be re-joined in marriage, you may speak now or forever hold your peace.
Wedding Sermon
Minister: When you were married, you likely received advice about building a relationship that would withstand the test of time. Take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate that, by virtue of your standing here before me today, that you have passed this test with flying colors. The road continues, however. You must continue to cherish one another, and you must continue to, upon the foundations of the last few years, actively build an even stronger relationship. All the lessons you've learned in that time, lessons of love, forgiveness, and trust, you must continue to cultivate. As you face the challenges of the years to come, remember the things you did that brought you each to this place. Always be there to provide the support, encouragement, and that you partner needs. Be present in your love and devoted to your mutual commitment. This vow renewal ceremony provides you with the opportunity to, in front of your loved ones, strengthen those sacred bonds, and reaffirm the promises made in your hearts on your wedding day.
Consecration
Minister: As we celebrate these renewed bonds of unity under the eyes of God, it is important to keep in mind that, while this is certainly an occasion of tremendous joy, the promises we witness being made again here today are just as serious and life-altering now as they were the first time around.
As Jesus said: "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."
Vows / Declaration of Intent
Minister: Tyler and Clarissa, at this time I would like now to renew your commitment with one another with these vows and to declarant your intent.
Tyler: Marriage is a fragile thing, and one that has lasted as long, to be held carefully and cherished forever. Tyler you chose Clarissa before, and today you choose her again. Not because you should, not because it is expected, but because your love for her is even deeper and richer than it was the day you’ll married. Tyler do you choose Clarissa again gladly without any doute. Tyler do you hereby reaffirm your vows to love Clarissa, to comfort her, to honor her, and to keep her. Tyler, Yes

Candle-Lighting / Sand and Glass Stomping Ceremony
Tyler and Clarissa, while the words you have spoken have sealed your union, it is this part that truly symbolizes the melding of your two souls.
Take a moment to recall every magical moment in your life that led you to this point. All the smiles and tears endured, all the plans that went wrong and the happy accidents that got you back on course. Everything that has ever happened has led you to this miraculous moment, right here.
At this time Tyler and Clarissa has receive a pre-lit candle and a vessel of sand. Jaxon please hold the Large Candle
You hold in your hands a single flame. Allow this flame and color sand represent your life: every thought that's ever crossed your mind, and every word that's ever crossed your lips; all of your victories, and all of your failures; all of your joys, and all of your sorrows.
Every flicker and grain of sand is another moment, either a moment that has been or a moment that is yet to be.
And now, tilt these candles forward to light the center candle.
Tyler and Clarissa should tilt their candles forward, Jaxon please hold the center candle.
Lighting this larger candle centered between you is the bond you have made and this is your Anchor. The Anchor is Jaxon, he is your center and the Center Candle is the bound which you both made a life as a family.
Tyler and Clarissa and Jaxon watch as the two flames instantly form one. So, today, have your spirits come together to form one. Just as your combined flame illuminates the space around it, let your union radiate with love and light your path as you move forward through life together.
And now, with the other hand tilt your vessels forward and pour your sand into the vessel.
Tyler and Clarissa and Jaxon should tilt their vessels forward, pouring their sand into the larger vessel centered between them.
As the officiant speaks the words, the best man should place the vessel glass (typically wrapped in a white cloth) before the family. The family may then stomp the glass.
As you watched the grains of sand mix together, forming one soul. Note also, that now combined, the sands may never again be separated. Your spirits and Lives so intertwined that they may never again be truly torn. As you move forth in life, keep your family close to the heart, recognizing that they’re part of your being and path in this world.
The glass, once broken, may never be truly re-assembled. The change is permanent. Likewise, the family bonds you have formed today are permanent. Having entered into your lives have been changed irrevocably for the better.
Exchange of Rings
Minister: You exchanged rings on your wedding day as a symbol of your love and commitment to each other. This never-ending circle of love has continued through the years, and your rings have served as a daily reminder of that special promise. Now, we will reaffirm your wearing these rings as a continuing representation of your shared union.
Please repeat after me:
I, Tyler, wear this ring as a symbol of the love that we share together. May it always rest on my hand, and may you always rest in my heart.
I, Clarissa, wear this ring as a symbol of the love that we share together. May it always rest on my hand, and may you always rest in my heart.
