Good afternoon family and friends,

We have gathered for the joining of MELISSA LYNN DYER and DAVID JOSEPH SUGRUE in the spiritual union of marriage. We'd also like to remember Melissa's Mother, Linda and David's Dad, Dan, and know they are looking down upon them this afternoon.

This contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.

As the Cherokee Prayer states:

We honor all You created as they pledge their hearts and lives together.

MELISSA LYNN DYER and DAVID JOSEPH SUGRUE will now exchange rings as a symbol of their love and commitment.

THE RING EXCHANGE is a symbol symbol of the never-ending circle of love. Melissa and David have chosen to exchange rings as that symbol of the love and commitment they have for each other.

David, please place this ring on Melissa's left hand and repeat after me. Melissa, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and that I am choosing to share my life's journey with you. I give you this ring as my pledge to love you today, tomorrow, always and forever.

Let us pray:

Divine Spirit (Father, Lord), we know your presence is with all of here this afternoon as Melissa and David exchange their vows before you. We give you thanks. We ask your blessing and love be with them from this day forward as they have pledged their love to one another. May the wisdom and spirit of all-giving and all-understanding Love pervade all the words spoken and all the love given here today, that these vows offered will remain strong and true and abiding in the presence of love all the days of their lives. May all of us present feel the strength and depth of Melissa's and David's love and experience the rebirth of the power of love in our own lives. We ask these things in the Name of the Divine Spirit and give thanks to it as well. AMEN.

Melissa and David, I say to you this afternoon, May all that you, you always be in love. May all that is love, always be in you. May your love be as beautiful on each day as you share it as it is on this day. And, may each day you share be as precious to you as the day you first fell in love. May you always see and encourage the best in each other. May you always be each other's friend, confidant and greatest love.
