Edward Gardner Cooke And Sarah Hambleton Evans’ Wedding Wedding Ceremony Script

Dearly Beloved and Honored Guests,

We are gathered together here to join Edward Cooke and Sarah Evans in the spiritual union of marriage.

This contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.

Officiant will add a short statement covering the following:

1) the pleasure and honor of joining two who he has known since their birth

2) the importance of this wedding ceremoney as a symbol of how this is more than the binding of two people, but the bringing together of two families and their many friends into a community of support from this day forward.

As a reflection of that community of love and support, two of their longtime friends will now give a reading:

First, (Sarah's friend). (Sarah's friend) reading.

Thank you (Sarah's friend).

And now a reading from Axel Tifft. Axel's Reading.

Thank you Axel.

Edward Cooke and Sarah Evans will now share their vows.

*(Vows)*

And now,

Do you Edward Gardner Cooke take this woman Sarah Hambleton Evans to be your lawfully wedded partner, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and woe, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto her for as long as you both shall live?

*(Wait for Confirmation)*

Do you Sarah Hambleton Evans take this man Edward Gardner Cooke to be your lawfully wedded partner, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and woe, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto him for as long as you both shall live?

*(Wait for Confirmation)*

Do you, Ted and Sarah's family and friends agree to love and support these two in their married life? Let's hear a big "We do!"

Ted and Sarah will now exchange rings as a symbol of their love and commitment.

*(Ring Exchange)*

By the authority vested in me by American Marriage Ministries and the State of Massachusetts I now pronounce you husband and wife!

Sarah, you may now kiss your husband!
