Family, Friends, and Honored Guests,

We are gathered together here today to join Jennifer Anne Cole Zinda and Russell Philip Myers in the spiritual union of marriage.

I had the privilege of meeting Russ and Jennifer for the first time over the Memorial Day weekend. Because my wife and Jennifer were childhood friends, we were asked to meet at Russ and Jennifer’s place here in Rocklin. I didn’t know what kind of people to expect when I first met the two of them, but...within just a few minutes I could tell what kind of people I was dealing with.

I was pleased to see a couple that knew so much about one another. As a matter of fact, every time I’d ask Russ a question, Jennifer was able to tell me just what his answer was going to be.... she is definitely wife material!

Jennifer was quick to explain why she loves Russ in few words, but those few words were the cornerstones of any good marriage. I quote “I love him because he’s truly a good person, and in any situation he’s calm”. For those of you that don’t really know Russ, he is calm. So calm in fact, he’s almost comatose. Which is a good thing considering Jennifer brought her mom with her on the first date, while her dad waited in the car.

When asked Russ gave me the most honest answer I’ve ever heard in regards to why he loves his beautiful bride... He explained to me that he’s faced a lot of adversity in his lifetime and he went on to tell me he’s disabled and I quote “But in spite of this Jennifer doesn’t hold it against me”.

From that moment forward in the conversation ...you could tell they were truly meant to be together. They are a heartwarmingly charming couple, and their devotion, and love for each other is truly overwhelming!

A marriage is a contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. I know you two have thought about this. Please remember that love, loyalty, understanding, and honesty with yourself and your partner, are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.

Jennifer Anne Cole Zinda and Russell Philip Myers, if you are both ready, we’ll get this deal inked.
