Dearly Beloved and Honored Guests,

We are gathered together here to join Seth and Korri in the spiritual union of marriage.

This contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, trust, and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.

This is not only a covenant between Seth and Korri. As they have invited each of us along side with them as they take this next step, will you the witnesses promise to stand beside this couple through their walk together. To share the wisdom that comes with experience, and to continue to nurture the love that they share with each other. If you will all commit to this, please say "We will".

In preparation for this day, the couple has asked that I share a reading from scripture.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not selfish, it is not quick to anger, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices in truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love does not Fail.

Seth, I have known you for a long time. Catching frogs in the pond, and getting sprayed with a hose because your parents wouldn't let us in the house covered in mud. I have seen you in times of joy and in times of sadness, from the little boy down the street, to the man standing here today.

Korri, I have not known you for as long, but the short time that I have spent with you has shown me the type of person you are and how much you truly love this man. In all my years of knowing Seth, I have only ever known him to love one person. You.

Seth and Korri have chosen a ring as a symbol of their love. A ring having no end and forever looping unto itself, so too will their love endure forever. A ring being made of precious metals to remind us of what is precious to us and to keep it close.
