We are gathered together here to join Calhoun Mark Murray and Moriah Elizabeth Burd in the spiritual union of marriage.
This contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.
Cal, repeat after me; I, Cal, *pause* take this woman Moriah *pause* to be my lawfully wedded wife, *pause* to have and to hold, *pause* in sickness and in health, *pause* in good times and in bad, *pause* for richer or poorer, *pause* keeping myself unto you for as long as we both shall live.
*(Wait for Confirmation)*
Mo, repeat after me; I, Moriah, *pause* take this man Cal *pause* to be my lawfully wedded husband, *pause* to have and to hold, *pause* in sickness and in health, *pause* in good times and in bad, *pause* for richer or poorer, *pause* keeping myself unto you for as long as we both shall live.
*(Wait for Confirmation)*
Cal and Moriah will now exchange rings as a symbol of their love and commitment.
*(Ring Exchange)*
Today, Cal and Moriah have chosen to braid three strands together into a single cord. Each strand has a significant meaning. The strands represent God and His majesty, the groom and his life, and the bride and her life. In braiding these three strands together, Cal and Mo have demonstrated that their marriage is more than a joining of two lives together. It is a unity with God as well. They have chosen to allow God to be at the center of their marriage, woven into every aspect of it.
Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not easily broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:12
Cal and Moriah will now braid their strands
(*music while their braiding*)
Cal and Moriah, by the authority vested in me by the State of Oklahoma I now pronounce you husband and wife!
You may now kiss the bride.
