Officiated by Kim D Odom at Function Hall in Queen Creek, Arizona on September 24th, 2021.
"I was honored by my brother Dana and his new bride Jewel when they asked me to officiate their marriage ceremony. This was my first time officiating a wedding and although a little nervous, it was also an honor to have my husband of 40 years assist in the joyous ocassion. I incorporated some of the highlights of our premarital counseling with Dana and Jewel in my wedding script. This ceremony consisted of father of the bride embracing groom as he placed daughter's hand in the grooms hand, personal vows, ring exchange, sand ceremony and a special presentation to the mothers of bride and groom. I think the highlight of this wedding was that two people got an opportunity at a second chance for One Love and brought together a beautiful blending of family and friends. What a beautiful sacred ceremony!"
Dearly Beloved and Honored Guests,
Welcome to this joyous occasion to join together in the sacred union of marriage, Jewel C. Hardy and Dana B. Mallory.
Marriage is an honorable estate and is not to be entered into lightly, but with thoughtful consideration. Some people just want a wedding day and not a marriage commitment.
Jewel and Dana, the past 6 months you have engaged with Pastor Ron and I in preparation for this special day. We themed those premarital sessions, Two Hearts One Love and we got to know your love story. As 40 year marriage veterans, ourselves, we believe you have what it takes to have an everlasting love that will grow your marriage relationship. You have convened friends and family to bear witness of the joining of your hearts and the blending of families.
You both bring to this union life experiences and the beautiful thing about life experiences is that, by the grace of God, we get opportunities for a new beginning and a second chance at One Love.
Jewel and Dana will now share their personal vows to one another.
To reaffirm the vows you just made to each other, please answer the traditional question.
Do you Jewel Hardy take this man Dana Mallory to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and difficult times, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto him for as long as you both shall live?
*(Wait for Confirmation)*
Do you Dana Mallory take this woman Jewel Hardy to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and difficult times, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto her for as long as you both shall live?
*(Wait for Confirmation)*
Dana and Jewel will now exchange rings as a symbol of their love and commitment.
*(Ring Exchange)*
The eternal nature of a circle makes the wedding ring a symbol not only of love, but eternal love and represents the promise that you both will love and remain devoted to one another throughout all of time.
Jewel repeat:
In token and pledge of our constant faith and abiding love, with this ring I thee wed. In the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen
Dana repeat:
In token and pledge of our constant faith and abiding love, with this ring I thee wed. In the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen
Sand Ceremony:
Dana and Jewel, you have just sealed your relationship by the giving and receiving of rings and this is a pledge between two people who agree that they will commit themselves to one another throughout their lives.
Today, this relationship is also symbolized through the pouring of these two individual containers of sand. One, representing you, Dana and One Representing you Jewel and all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be.
As these two containers of sand are poured into the third container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will your marriage be.
Presentation to the Mothers
Blessing - Pastor Ronald Odom
Pronouncement - Pastor Kim Odom
For as much as Jewel and Dana have consented together in Holy Wedlock, and have witnessed the same before God and this company, and thereto have pledged their faith, each to the other and have declared the same by joining hands and giving and receiving rings; I pronounce that they are husband and wife together in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Those whom God has joined together, let no man pull apart.
By the authority vested in me by American Marriage Ministries and in accordance with the State of Arizona I now pronounce you husband and wife!
Dana, you may kiss your bride!
It is our pleasure to present to you Mr. and Mrs. Dana and Jewel Mallory!
