The Bible explains to us in first Corinthians chapter 13 what love means.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
As you go forward in your journey of marriage I want you to keep these things in mind. I want you to replace love with your partners name. Lindsey is patient, Clay is kind. My husband does not envy, my wife does not boast, we are not proud. My partner is not rude, my wife is not self-seeking, my husband is not Easily angered, we will not keep record of wrongs. Our marriage will not delight in evil but we together will rejoice with the truth. My husband always protects, my wife always trusts, we will always hope, because our love always perseveres. Our love will never fail.
The couple has chosen to write their own vows.
