Welcome Everyone! We are here today to witness and celebrate the marriage of Bailey and Greg. As they make their promises to each other, they are grateful to be surrounded by you – their family and friends. Thank you for being here to share the joy of this special occasion.
I would like to take just a moment to introduce myself. For those of you who don't know, I am Bailey’s first cousin and my name is Aunt Lori. When these two announced their engagement, like most of you, I thought Wow, it is about time! I was thrilled, delighted, and full of excitement. I sent them a congratulatory video telling them I would do anything to help commemorate their big day. In that video, I auditioned… I’m sorry, I explained I could read a poem – perhaps an Aunt Lori original. I also belted out what I thought was a moving rendition of Ave Maria, just to show my range of talents. After what I am certain was a long and drawn out debate, Bailey and Greg asked me if I would marry them. I am truly honored to be standing up here with you today.
Bailey and Greg have prepared their own vows and will read them to each other at this time.
<<May I have the rings>>
Your rings are a symbol of love and faithfulness. They seal the vows of marriage and represent the promise of everlasting love. It is a commitment of heart and soul.
Greg, please take Bailey’s hand in yours and place her ring on her finger:
Do you promise to take Bailey Elizabeth as your wife
To listen to and learn from her
To protect and comfort her
To respect and support her
To grow with and laugh with her
And to love her today and for all of your tomorrows
