Brian King And Gaby Stancer’s Wedding Wedding Ceremony Script

Dearly Beloved and Honored Guests,

We are gathered together here to join Brian King and Gaby Stancer in the spiritual union of marriage.

On behalf of Brian and Gaby, I want to thank everyone for coming here today to join us on this special day.

For those that don’t know me, I am Josh Cohen

I have known Brian and Gaby for 3 years, but feel like its been a lifetime friendship. It's pretty easy when you have 2 sets of people almost exactly alike. Gaby and I share the same personality, and Brian and Michaela share the ability to deal with Gaby and I.

We have all grown very close and I am honored to be standing here before you.

Today is a celebration. A celebration of love, of commitment, of friendship, of family, and of two people who are in it forever.

A true lasting marriage requires effort, commitment, and respect. As Brian and Gaby declare their love on this day, we reflect on the meaning of partnership and its importance to a successful union.

A marriage thrives when each partner chooses to value the other: for everything they are, and, for everything they’re not. There is no limit to what a partnership can accomplish when trust and admiration flow abundantly.

We make plans and they don't necessarily turn out the way we envisioned, but somehow life happens, and it shapes and molds us to be better than we WERE.

Marriage is the single most important relationship that challenges us to always be better.

This day is about love.

Love isn't just a word; its an action. Its going to be the basis for every aspect of your relationship.

Love is genuine, honest, and open, compassionate and kind. Love doesn’t know space or time, nor look through jealous eyes.

This new journey will be at times richly rewarding and extremely difficult, but mostly importantly, it will be a journey you take together.

Special to Brian and Gaby, I will quote a poem by EE Cummings: I Carry Your Heart.

I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart)

I am never without it (Anywhere I go you go, my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling)

I fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet)

I want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)

And it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you.

Here is the deepest secret nobody knows

(Here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life, which grows higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)

And this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart

I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart)

Brian and Gaby have chosen to declare their love with their written vows:

(Vows read)

Brian and Gaby, please join hands and look at one another now. It's been quite a journey for you both to arrive here at this point. Now take a second to remember this moment as you go forward, together. This is your moment, and know one else's.

*(Pause)*

*(Look at Gaby)*

*(Vows)*

Do you Gaby Stancer take this man Brian King to be your lawfully wedded partner, to have and to

hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and woe, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto him for as

long as you both shall live?

*(Wait for Confirmation)*

*(Look at Brian)*

Do you Brian King take this woman Gaby Stancer to be your lawfully wedded partner, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and woe, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto her for as long as you both shall live?

*(Wait for Confirmation)*

*(Look at Eli)*

Eli, please come forward with the rings.

Your wedding ring is a symbol of your promise to one another. The ring, an unbroken never-ending circle, is a symbol of committed, unending love.

*(Look at Brian)*

Brian as you place this ring on Gaby’s finger, repeat these words after me:

This ring symbolizes my love for you, and the commitments we made today.

*(Look at Gaby)*

Gaby as you place this ring on Brian’s finger, repeat these words after me:

This ring symbolizes my love for you, and the commitments we made today.

Brian and Gaby, you have come here today of your own free will and in the presence of family and friends, have declared your love and commitment to each other. You have given and received a ring as a symbol of your promises.

By your love and commitment to each other and by the power vested in me by the state of Colorado, I now pronounce you husband and wife.

You may now kiss your McGrew. Congratulations.!!!

It is my honor

to present

for the first time

as husband and wife

Mr and Mrs Brian and Gaby King!
