Dear friends and family,
We are gathered here today to witness the union of Misha and Yulia. You are all here because you share a bond with at least one of these two people here before you, be it family member or friend. They care about you, just as they care about each other. As such, we are all here today to celebrate the marriage of these two awesome people. A special thanks to all of you who bravely decided to venture out for this occasion in this strange time of a global pandemic to witness the promise these two are about to make to one another. We are here not only as guests, but to offer our love and support, and to stand with Misha and Yulia as they begin this new chapter of their lives.
In the years that they have been together, their love for each other has grown, turning them into the couple you now see before you. This time, for sure, they are ready to spend the rest of their lives together as husband and wife.
A true marriage begins well before the wedding day, and the efforts of marriage continue well beyond the ceremony. A brief moment in time and the stroke of the pen are all that is required to create the legal bond of marriage, but it takes a lifetime of love, commitment, and compromise to make marriage durable and everlasting. This contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember to treat yourselves and each other with respect and remind yourselves often of what brought you together. Take responsibility for making each other feel safe and give the highest priority to the time and kindness that your connection deserves.
Today you declare your commitment to each other before family and friends.
DECLARATION OF INTENT
(To the Misha)
Do you, Misha, take Yulia to be your lawfully wedded wife? From this day forward, to have and to hold, for better, for worse, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part?
(To the Yulia)
Do you, Yulia, take Misha to be your lawfully wedded husband? From this day forward, to have and to hold, for better, for worse, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part?
Misha and Yulia will now exchange rings as a symbol of their love and commitment. Wedding rings are made precious by you wearing them. May these rings remind you always of the vows you have taken here today.
