"What a beautiful wedding! Tara and Timmy's big day was set right on the river directly below Chimney Rock. The weather was perfect for this rural charmed wedding. The guests were lucky to lodge all around the historic and very desirable Lake Lure area. The ceremony was so fun to perform, because Timmy and Tara were such fun people. They happily returned my "get to know you" form - which contains many personal/relationship questions for the couple to answer. I had plenty of material to work in fun and sentimental tidbits within the ceremony script. The groom was tearing up before his bride even made it down the aisle! So sweet! Then, my ceremony had them laughing, and loving one another even more. I was so fortunate to have been chosen to perform their ceremony in such a beautiful setting!"

INVOCATION
(Amy to everyone)
Dear friends and family, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union of Timmy and Tara. Since they met, their love for each other has grown, turning them into the couple you see before you. Now, they are ready to spend the rest of their lives together as husband and wife. A true marriage begins well before the wedding day, and the efforts of marriage continue well beyond the ceremony. A brief moment in time and the stroke of the pen are all that is required to create the legal bond of marriage, but it takes a lifetime of love, commitment, and compromise to make marriage durable and everlasting. Today you declare your commitment to each other before family and friends.

VOW EXCHANGE INTRO
(to Tara and Timmy)
This is a new beginning for both of you and I’d like to offer some reminders which, if followed – will help to strengthen your skills to attain the life-long mission of commitment and joy.
Be kind to each other. When you disagree - do it respectfully. Be gentle and forgiving with each other. When you forgive - your hearts make room for a little more love, a little more understanding and a little more compassion. Communicate with each other. Share the joy that’s in your heart, as well as the ills that burden your soul. Open your hearts to one another, and love will surely fill them.
