Officiated by Lynn Feather at Dorsey's Knob Park in Morgantown, West Virginia on September 25th, 2020.
"This ceremony was a very emotional one to officiate as the bride had been diagnosed just three days prior with aggressive breast cancer. And she is 22 weeks pregnant with their baby girl, Rowan Shea. Their wedding had been postponed from May and moved to August of 2021. But they wanted to get married because she didn’t want her “fiancé” waiting for her - she wanted her husband beside her. The evening was perfect with the West Virginia breezes Mountain View in site. Tiffany and Dave are one of the most mature and sweetest couples I have come to know. God has her and baby girl in his hands and I’m waiting to bless the birth of her. "

Tiffany, your momma mentioned that you would like me to pray for you. After I talked with her, the Lord spoke to me to prepare the following prayer for you. I must admit, in my 69 years, I have never written or thought such deep words. So, if I choke up during this, please excuse me. This is your prayer I have written for you.
PRAYER
Dear God, this evening we have come together to join this wonderful couple in holy matrimony. But first, we come to you in prayer for Tiffany. You know she has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer and she is carrying a baby girl. We come to praise you and to ask you to put your healing hands on her as she goes through this cancer treatment. Please ease her pain. Heal her. Give her strength. Give her and David the courage they will need each and every day. Comfort them when she is in pain and bless her with your healing powers. Give the family members, friends and care givers the strength to get through this life changing experience. Lay your healing hands on her Dear God to endure the pains and discomforts. Protect that beautiful baby girl growing inside of her which you created. Remove all the cancer cells and Heal Her! We pray for all the doctors and nurses. We expound on your powers to give them the knowledge and direct them for the best treatment possible. Give them the spirit and education they will need to administer her care along with the continued safekeeping of her baby girl. Dear Lord, cast out those bad cancer cells with your almighty hands. Give Tiffany the strength to lean on your Graces to be strong. We know there is healing in your touch. Touch her and restore her body to a stronger and mightier being.
Please guide and protect her and David. Walk with her in this healing as we know you have that almighty power to heal one as they recover from this nasty disease. Help her to keep the faith and always lean on your mighty word along with the strength and support of her husband and family.
In Jesus’ name ~~~ Amen.
MARRIAGE
Marriage is a gift from God given to us so that we might experience of the joys of unconditional love with a lifelong partner. God designed marriage to be an intimate relationship between a man and a woman.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy; it does not boast. It is not proud. It is not rude. It is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered. It keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
This evening, I have been given the pleasure to join Tiffany Renee Nuce and David Shea Carr in marriage.
Many believe entering into marriage is the final step in a romantic relationship. However, marriage is not meant to be the final step. ~~ It is just the beginning of a grand adventure, one that will be a long and fruitful commitment to each other.
May this ceremony of vows you are about to take in becoming husband and wife remind you that despite the stress of every day life, your love, respect, trust and understanding of each other will continue to increase.
VOWS
Do you Tiffany Renee Nuce, take this man, David Shea Carr to be your lawfully wedded partner, to have and to hold, in sickness and health, in good times and bad, for richer or poorer? (I do)
Do you David Shea Carr, take this woman, Tiffany Renee Nuce, to be your lawfully wedded partner, to have and to hold, in sickness and health, in good times and bad, for richer or poorer? (I do)
RING EXCHANGE
On your wedding day you exchange rings as a symbol of the never-ending circle of love. Rings serve as a reminder of your wedding vows to each other and your commitment to live in unity, love and happiness.
As a visual representation of these promises, Tiffany and David have chosen to exchange rings as a symbol of the love and commitment they have for each other.
David, please place this ring on Tiffany’s left hand and repeat after me: Tiffany Renee Nuce, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and that I am choosing to share my life’s journey with you. I give you this ring as my pledge to love you today, tomorrow, always and forever.
Tiffany, please place this ring on David’s left hand and repeat after me: David Shea Carr, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and that I am choosing to share my life’s journey with you. I give you this ring as my pledge to love you today, tomorrow, always and forever.
Tiffany and David, I leave you with the following:
May all that you are, you always be in love. May all that is love, always be in you. May your love be as beautiful on each day as you share it as it is on this day. And, may each day you share be as precious to you as the day you first fell in love. May you always see and encourage the best in each other. May the upcoming health challenges life has brought to both of you make your marriage even stronger and may you always be each other’s friend, confidant and greatest love.
As you have pledged your love to each other this evening, therefore, by the power vested in me by the American Marriage Ministries and the State of West Virginia, I now pronounce you husband and wife.
David, you may now kiss your wife.
Congratulations!!
Mr. and Mrs. David Shea Carr!
