Invocation
o PLEASE BE SEATED (To the reception)
o What greater thing for two persons than to feel they are joined together; to strengthen each other in labor, to rest on each other in sorrow, to help each other in need to share in joy, and to be one with each other – whatever life has to offer.
o This is a special time of celebration that Hope and Greg will long remember, and because of this, they are thankful that you are here today.
o (to Greg and Hope)
o Greg and Hope, in the “art” of marriage, the little things are the big things. It is about establishing a relationship in which independence is equal, dependence is mutual, and obligation is reciprocal.
o Today your family and friends are gathered to celebrate this union. We are all privileged to witness two very dear friends; two exceptional and driven individuals committed to sharing a lifetime together.
Declaration of Intention
o Hope and Greg, you are about the make your intentions to one another.
o Greg, will you have Hope to be your wife, to live together in the covenant of marriage? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health and forsaking all others, be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?
o I WILL
o Hope, will you have Greg to be your husband, to live together in the covenant of marriage? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health and forsaking all others, be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?
o I WILL

Marriage Blessing
o PLEASE STAND AS YOU ARE ABLE
o May all that you are, always be in love. May all that is love, always be in you. May your love be as beautiful on each day you share as it is on this day of celebration; and may each day you share be as precious to you as the day you first fell in love. May you always see and encourage the best in each other. May the challenges life brings your way make your marriage even stronger, and may you always be each other’s best friend and greatest love as we now pray those words He has taught us himself,
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed by thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven, Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever, Amen.
Sending Blessing
o The blessed and holy Trinity make you strong in faith and love, defend you on every side, and guide you in truth and peace, now and forever.
o AMEN
